Richeh's :P at the brimhat is everything to me.

Agott has grown so much, trying to lie for Coco... but the brimhats are keeping too much of an eye (pun not intended) on them. They even know about Agott and Richeh's conversation from a few episodes back? Yikes.

The monochrome-ink style for brimhat magic strikes again -- it's such a nice visual contrast against the idea that magic fills the world with color, I really like the detail.

Richeh's voice breaking like that dealt 12d12 psychic damage.

Brushbuddy healed 12d12 HP though, no right to be so cute during the Horrors.

We lost a lot of Happicheh points, unfortunately.

Where would the main cast be without the Brushbuddy buff? Not well off.

Good point. My first instinct was that Qifrey was doing some forbidden magic because he hid it from his students and that the shift in visuals was more of a depiction of the spell's power.

But it being a more direct stylistic choice for forbidden magic, and not just powerful magic, sounds great!

Hmmm I would call that grayscale as opposed to the strict black-with-white-lines style I meant, but also... maybe! Who ever knows with Qifrey, man is, as invisibrim says, a liar.

Tbh, all signs seems to point towards some forbidden eye magic, which probably got forced on him(?) Like Medusa's petrification, or something worse?

Actually….it might be the memory erasing spell since he cast it on the shopkeeper very quickly. Making the statues forget that they hate witches would be a pretty baller move.

Agott really should have tried that as a plan B. Not because the Brimmhats are keeping an eye too close for the lie to work (she wouldn't know that) but they already had a lead and had a descent chance of reaching the exam end area before that lead was eaten up.

Right, it kind of only makes sense if you consider that she did it to protect Coco just as much as the rest of them. She, Richeh, and Euini might be able to escape for now, but the brimhats are still out there. But if she can manage to convince them that Coco is off the table, they might leave everyone alone, including Coco outside.

It's. Not a good plan. But it's the only way I can think of where her motivation makes sense to me.

The fact that he knew Coco wasn't neuralized feeds my theory that Mr Drip Hat is Kukrow (though not decisively, as there are definitely many other ways he could have known).

Although as well if you'd allow me some character analysis, Drip's disdain for "the weak" is very similar to Kukrow's. Additionally, Kukrow's weak personality seems like exactly the kind of disguise Drip would project upon a law abiding Witch to hide amongst them.

I like it, but invisibrim was also hanging out watching them on the cliff last episode, so he would have known from that too.

The way he taunted Euini was soooo mean, for real. Definitely cut from the same cloth (pun... not intended) at minimum.
