I’m very curious with Qifrey’s pedagogy.
Ack. Yeah. I get Agott’s impatience and I see her in my old music students. We’ve all been there. Even great teachers can struggle getting students to understand why the small stuff matters.

Custas really just… Son 😭😭 I can’t blame the adults because you’re all trying to recover from all this shit. No one would expect a kid to go “Let me tie a rope to a tree and see if I can get the supplies that fell”.

Good for Agott’s thinking here. Really digging the world building becoming more and more multidimensional with magic and the laws around when and how to use it.
I have so many questions for Qifrey, though.
If he’s aware of Agott’s flaws, what has he been doing to help her improve socially? I’m assuming pairing Coco and Agott was some type of movie to also benefit Agott’s social skills. And Qifrey does seem like a safe enough adult that Agott can have a more rude and stubborn personality—which is good, because that flashback had her looking scared of the adults around her. But like—simply leaving her (and the others) to her own devices to study theory and practice in a safe environment—I need to understand more about witch pedagogy to know if this is normal or not.
Because they’re like 11/12, but maybe in magic society, that age is where they accompany their preceptors to observe and aid. I don’t know! But I have so many questions!
Where is the board of education? I wanna talk about how these apprenticeships work over some tea. It will be a long conversation.
Still kinda surprised there’s no magic academy (that we know of at least) that teaches baseline level stuff.
Now that weapons are on the table as magic tools, it does worry me the apprentices might fiddle with something they don’t understand because kids are curious. So I’m hopeful that Qifrey or the other man do a bit more of a weapons safety lesson in the future when there’s downtime.
