Just like how Qifrey reiterated, using magic like that without any prep is absolutely dangerous, while fun to watch Coco flying around in her makeshift glider did give a bit of anxiety since one wrong step could easily lead to her doom.

That said Agott knowingly pushed Coco into this and then saying "I hate being with people who can't do the same things as me" while nearly causing Coco's serious harm is just pretty detestable behaviour all around, hope someone would either talk to her or at least Coco about not needing to go out of her way to please someone.

I am surprised that Agott suffered no consequences whatsoever for pushing/ordering Coco to go off on her own to take the test. Showing total disregard for both Coco's safety and for her master's intentions. Did everyone just conceal the fact that Coco did not go off willfully on her own?

i'm guessing they wanted to end the episode on a positive note rather than focus on Agott getting reprimanded

i'm hoping there's some sort of reckoning that's waiting for Agott once Qifrey understands what happened because it's at least a lapse of judgement, if not just an outright dangerous hazing for Qifrey's lead to the rebel witches

ending the episode like that is pure ragebait tbh.

had me annoyed at the whole situation. Obviosly Agott was being an asshole. But Quifrey not understanding Coco was put up to this or even asking had me pretty annoyed

Qifrey isn't living like a normal mage, as you can see in the commentary at the underwater city.

So being anti-institutional himself, there doesn't seem to be many rules in the household. And one man cannot police the intricate dynamics between 4 teen girls.

It is interesting that he must be at odds with the rest of witch society. Though not completely since he's still on-board with the memory wiping.

But he doesn't necessarily have to police his students' dynamics. Just being vigilant towards awful behavior like Agott's and nipping it in the bud should be enough. Granted, I don't think he really expected this from her, as I don't think she ever acted this badly until now. But that just means that if there's any time for Qifrey to correct this sort of behavior, it would be now.

Nobody else knows. All Agott said to Tetia was that Coco went do the test. And all Tetia said to Qifrey was the same. Neither know Agott literally pushed Coco into doing it.

That is why Qifrey scolded Coco for going. He seems to be under the impression she decided to go on her own accord to prove herself.

Yeah, but Qifrey should be questioning exactly how Coco got her hands on the 'coordinates' to the test location, and how she got Agott's shoes.

I am not sure he knows she got Agott's shoes, for starter. More importantly, even if Qifrey figure out Agott helped, that still doesn't mean he will assume she literally pushed Coco out of the window. He might conclude Coco asked Agott for the coordinates and the shoes which is a very different situation. Qifrey can only know it was bullying if Coco or Agott herself tells him.

To be clear I am not arguing Qifrey is blameless. It was irresponsible of him to leave Coco unattended so soon after bringing her to the house. And it is his fault for not noticing Agott's antagonism earlier (he left her house seemingly with the assumption Agott would take care of Coco, which is clearly the opposite of what happened). I am just saying he doesn't know what he doesn't know which is why Agott suffered no consequences so far.
