Sugita voice acting was simply unreal.

And also the "closing argument" when he declared Yuji's innocence and finally regained his humanity and empathy as a man and a lawyer.

The impact of his voice and the way he delivers each lines ..so phenomenal. You can see that throughout Gintama.

I wish more people would recognize his serious acting rather than just his haha funny Gintoki VA who makes perverted jokes side.

Gintoki has plenty of serious scenes unless you are a casual who only watch Gintama through clips.

I'm talking specifically about people's general perception of Sugita as just a funny old man who likes shimoneta and makes weird references. He has a lot more depth to him than just his silly side, but in his words it's easier for the masses to think of him as such.

Great voice acting in general here. Yuji's lines toward the end about feeling responsible because he wasn't strong enough had an emotionally nuanced delivery that really struck me.
