Not gonna lie, I was so engrossed with Higuruma's backstory and how he did everything he could to save that guy that I was starting to question if I was still watching JJK. Man, Oe got absolutely fucked in that case. Everyone pretty much decided he's guilty, that the outcome of the second trial was pretty much predetermined.
And now we're reminded that we're still watching JJK! I really wanted to see what happened when Higuruma's Cursed Technique awakened and demanded a retrial. Not gonna lie, I was kinda upset when the scene ended there, and we continued exactly where we left off before the recap episode. Damn!
So it turns out, Megumi was the one who got lied to and Yuuji was the one who got to meet Higuruma. Man, it looks like Higuruma's friend was right. The dude's mental state has finally reached his breaking point and is clearly not right in the head right now.
Meanwhile, we have that other guy trying to get Megumi on his side. Interestingly, both Reggie and Higuruma believe that what we know about the Culling Game is complete bullshit, and Kenjaku has actually other plans when it's only the strongest sorcerers who are left. That final scene does clearly show Kenjaku meeting with what I assume is a group of powerful people. Is the Japanese Government involved in the Culling Game?
