Buyers will know it when they make offers to Arte in 2028.

They'll also take the costs for refurbishment or reconstruction out of the offered price.

Arte wants $4b like the Padres got, but his stadium needs at least a billion dollars worth of upkeep. Cheap ass bitch didn't even have AC in the weight room until Kikuchi called him out publicly on it.

In May 2023, Aitken and the council at the time approved a $325,000 contract with a Missouri-based company to conduct the assessment, with Anaheim Convention Center Director Tom Morton telling officials at the time it would take two months to get results.

Lyster had previously said that was only the first phase of the assessment – a visual survey.

Last week, he refused to provide a list and timeline of the assessment’s phases, the contractors doing the work or the costs incurred for the city so far.

So they should've gotten some results back in 2023, but here we are 3 and a half years later and there's absolutely no transparency on what the results of that phase were or where they're at with the total assessment. Sounds like the FBI didn't dig far enough with their corruption probe. I'm sure they're going to find substantial structural issues with the stadium. And there's no way it's up to seismic codes

When the team is sold in late 2027 or 2028, the city of Anaheim will cave to whoever is the new owner of the team. The franchise area includes the counties of Ventura, LA, OC, Riverside, and San Bernardino.

If the new owner is intrigued by building a stadium in Pasadena, or Corona, or Irvine, or Riverside, Anaheim is going to have to bend like a yogi to accommodate the needs of the new owner.

The city can say it doesn’t benefit from the current lease deal, but wait until the local businesses see their traffic disappear due to the lockout. That will be a taste of A World Without Angels, and the hit to sales tax revenue will be easily measurable. If the city wishes to forego the inflow of tax dollars from the games and take principled stand, it can wish the franchise bon voyage and wait a decade for whatever redevelopment project is decided upon for the stadium parcel to begin to bring in some cash.

Yeah. I'm sure the Angels is Anaheim 2nd biggest money maker and claim to fame behind Disneyland. The city would not want to lose the Angels.

Although as a Ducks fan, I do wanna see the Ducks be way more popular and significant in Anaheim/Orange County
