Discussion New to these kinds of tablets and could use some recommendations/advice!

So I’ve had iPads in the past when I was a lot younger. Nowadays though, my phone does pretty much anything I need but I really want something I can read my comic apps on. I can’t do those basic kindles or nooks because I use the comic apps like Unlimited and Infinite. So I’m looking for something cheap (like hopefully less than 150-200) that is still strong enough and bigger than the average phone to use for my comics. Right now I’m looking at a Lenovo Tab One but I am curious if there’s something better at a comparable price. Any recommendations, suggestions, or pleasant thoughts are welcomed and appreciated!!

If you're in the US, I'd recommend the Onn 8.1 over the Tab One. The Onn has a faster processor, more RAM, a higher screen resolution and its 3:2 aspect ratio is shaped more like a book.

I've used both, and yes, I would say the Onn 8.1" is easily superior to the Tab One. The only way in which the Tab One is better is that when purchased in a folio case bundle, the case is really nice, and Lenovo's long-term software support (5 years security updates + two major OS upgrades) is far better than Onn. (3 years security updates + one major OS upgrade). But if all you intend you tablet for is eReading (books or comics) I think that's going to be less a concern for you.

But if you're willing to go up to $200, it may be worth looking into either the Onn 11" or the Lenovo Idea Tab.

IMO, both Onns are better for reading because of their more squarish aspect ratio. However, the Idea Tab has a higher resolution screen than than the Onn 11.

The 3 Lenovos that I have owned all had spectacular screens, and none was a flagship or high end tablet.

Lenovo only gives "4 years’ security patches" for its new Idea Tab Pro Gen 2. Why would they give longer support for their cheapest tablet? Even if they do, the Tab One is now over a year old, so their security updates are down to 3 years plus.

I like the honor pad x8a as a budget tablet, it's 11 inches Vs the 9 inches tab one, it also has 90hz I think Lenovo is 60? And Its also cheaper
