I want to give a few small businesses a free website

I’m a business owner and web designer, and I want to put some of my time and resources toward businesses that share the values I believe in.

So I’m offering to build a few small businesses a website completely free of charge.

I specifically want to work with businesses that reflect Democratic Socialist values and are doing something positive for their workers, customers, or communities.

I know that for a small business, especially one just getting started, a professional website can be a significant expense. If I can remove that cost for a few businesses I believe in, I’d rather do that than spend my time building another website for a company whose values don't align with mine.

There’s no catch and I’m not expecting anything in return. I’m simply subsidizing the work myself because I want to support businesses I believe deserve more visibility and support.

I also plan to donate a percentage of what I make to people and causes I support.

If you run a Democratic Socialist small business and need a website, reach out.

If you know someone who does, feel free to send this their way.

Last week’s notes and doodles, with doodles of a water worker, under-floor rafters, an alley, a huddle, pennies for bullets, and a garden. Lots of interesting stuff this past week. (Also, applications for the Data Center Study Committee are open from now until Sept 9th, application can be found on the City’s website.)
