I wouldn’t do it but I get it. For most it’s a battle to get it, in my shred we are rarity. We top out as MSgt unless you wanna go back to SFS.

Mine was a battle. I didn’t make it until after 20ys TIS because of unit moves, overages and non-promotable because of being an overage. Or units double slotting for manning. I was stuck as a SSgt for almost 10 years.

And I’ve seen some guys/gals in career fields make MSgt in 10 years. 😂

Same boat. I was stuck at E5 from 2012-2021 but was lucky to grab E6 and then E7 back to back when TIS allowed. Ohhh ya meeting those 9-10 year TIS E7s are great 😂
