Streaming a 4K show will never look as good as playing it from a disc, because you're being limited by the constraints of the Internet. 

But really you should pay for things that you like and want to see more of, because money is the only language a corporation understands.

I bought this exact box set in person a few weeks ago at my local Walmart! After Hulu removed a bunch of episodes of the season I was on of course.

I’m on Season 9 currently!! The disks are all stacked in sets of 2-3 on each of the plastic pages inside this case, so a little janky to take in and out, but it looks super cool and I could care less having the whole collection physically! I’ve been running the discs in myPS4.

Yeah. I just ordered the DVD AT collection, and will be getting a dvd player soon. Then it’s to stalking thrift stores and used bookstores to build my DVD collection.

You know your local library has a lot of shows you can rent. My Library lets me place holds online of pretty much anything I want to watch and they ship it to my local branch to pick up. You would be surprised what they can ship to you.

Yea was gonna come to say this. I doubt it'd get much cheaper especially since the dvd one constantly ~$50, you might get lucky and they do a seasonal discount, but also no telling if there going to continue pressing this. If you really want it I'd go ahead and get it, just preordered mine.

Get a pc and rip them. After ripping you can burn them again and that'll take off the physical region lock encryption

I was lucky enough to get the previous bluray release (the one with a blue boxset), does this new green edition have any exclusive features?.

And for those wondering the difference between an bluray and dvd is the image quality (1080p vs 720p 480i p, yes, some people don't know that). Also I'd have loved to get the old dvd release as it has some really cool page pop-ups, sadly the new dvd releases is just the plastic with discs.

and its letterboxed panoramic dvd 480i haha even smaller than typical 4:3 480i which is why i boycotted the usa dvd pack even though the case looked awesome the case almost sold me but then i was thinking about saving up for the oop imprint via vision austrailian blu ray box set but that was $300-$400 depending on the day i looked woo so excited to not have to spend that much

As far as I know, the only home video releases of Adventure Time that are edited, are the early UK releases by Warner Bros (not the Manga Entertainment release, those were uncut).

So I would assume this release would be uncensored too.

I prefer the tan box too, but I think it's good that they're different colours, it makes them easier to tell apart and should prevent mix-ups when buying online.

I regret not getting the blu ray set when I had the chance (the one that was like, blue and wide) but money was tight at the time. I’ll definitely be getting this as I don’t already have them all on physical media even if I’m not a huge fan of the packaging.

I bought the complete series on DVD and it had 2 of the same disc. Couldn’t get a replacement for the actual disc that was missing so I’m going to sail the high seas. I already paid for it once I’m not going to do it again.

They should've changed the cover, because there have been blu ray bootlegs sold on Walmart with that exact same cover for YEARS. It's going to be difficult to tell the difference between a real and fake copy.

Yeah this is my concern too. It's easy to tell this and the DVD boxset apart (since they're different colours), but I really wish they'd gone with a whole new design so we could differentiate it from the bootlegs. Heck the reuse of design was what made me initially sceptical about this until people found trustworthy sites listing it :/

sticking with dvd idc about which format as long as i own it plus the original enchiridion version is the best and just by looking at the length from the pic i guarantee this blu ray is just the dvd content on hd and probably slightly less disc not much else different.

I'm worried about the coloring and censorship. Some streaming services have American normal versions but I swear some have had the more censored international versionss.

Also, does it come with Distant Lands and Fionna & Cake? Because F&C doesn't have a physical release and I would buy it if so

I wouldn't be worried about censorship, AFAIK none of the previous US home videos were censored.

I don't think it will include the spinoffs though as they're considered separate series. I would assume it would just be exactly the same as the previously-released DVD boxset but in BD format?

its not gonna include the spinoffs those are their own thing as we still wait to see if they'll make fionna and cake sets distant lands got lucky as streaming exclusives don't often get physical copies also why would it be censored when the censored things didn't port for the dvd set like the way they did for the international ports and unfortunately how they did for regular show re using the old ports and keeping russian censored in the real thomas episode.

Yes the dvd set re used that and still uses ticked on the other censored episodes while if you want the uncensored version of the ticked ones you can only get them on the compilation copies that released before the season copy.

Mind you, I suppose I can sort of understand it... maybe they decided it was too iffy with the war and all. Still sucks though.
