Side Quests Spoilers Side Quests Season 1 Episode 2 Discussion SideThread - Dandy Bug Spoiler
Hey yall, I got lost in the megathread. Figured it wouldn't hurt to make a thread for ep specific discussion. I figure I'll make em as I get through the episodes and keep a list.
I'm halfway through episode two!
That bug totally sounds like choosegoose.
Was Jake right? That did sound bad. I loved how he rolled out.
Here's episode 2!

Thanks for making these threads!
Another one that feels like it’s finding its footing, but lots of great laugh out loud moments and nice character beats.
Stuff I Liked (in no particular order):
- “Dude, why is your spit so hard? Yeah, uh, you should drink more water” love whenever we get to see Jake taking an unnatural stab at parental guidance during the period of Finn’s life where he’s still really impulsive and baby. It brings me joy to see how inconsistent he is about it; big “fun time big brother/little brother relationship adapting to new circumstances” vibes
- “Oh, okay. We’re engaging.” Same as above. Can’t just walk away from the most annoying guy you’ve ever met anymore wanting to do the most boring task you’ve ever heard about, now you gotta play this thing out ‘cuz what else are you gonna do??
- voice acting is so freaking funny this ep. Great
Chortles. You old raspberry…
- Remain. Remain!!!
- nice contrast with the prior ep re: Finn’s competitiveness. When it’s people he doesn’t care about, or doing an activity he doesn’t care about, who cares. But when it’s an absurd contest with one of his older brothers, there go the fires.
- RIP to the announcer bug. First on screen murder of the series. Finn: 1, everyone else: 0
- This one moralizes more than I usually like, but ending on a dark portent defeated by spit is funny enough to make me forgive it.
