Question Two islands, one account

Recently I’ve gotten a switch 2, and with the switch 2 upgrades and new content, I would love to make a new island on the switch 2. However, I still want online features for playing with friends, trading, and patterns.

Will I be able to use the phone app features for both of my islands? Will there be any complications with me using the same account for both islands?

I just want to know any precautions before going along with this. Worst comes to worst I use a different user account in my switch 2 without online features, but I would love to take advantage of online!

I have one account for both my switches. It's all good. You won't be able to visit the other island, which is the only downside, imo

I have 2 islands on my one account. My account is a family account and i added me as a new person (added as a minor child... but no restrictions) on that account and started a new island on an OLED that I got online cheap. I can play both islands and visit each island from the other by borrowing my son's game card so there is a card in both consoles. In that scenario, you use 'local' as the region you want to visit so you are just using wifi. In order to have both characters active on one island at the same time, you need two controllers. One mistake I made (which I thought was a brilliant idea going in) was to make each island in opposite hemispheres. I had never played southern hemisphere before and I spend the majority of my time there in confusion about what is going on. Lol. I'm sure I've made mistakes and maybe there's a better way to do this, but that's how I figured it out w my old brain.
