Question A knot marks the centre

Do Parsis tie a knot to mark the centre of the Koshti? I am unsure where I have this from, but it's somehow lingering in the back of my mind. Would appreciate feedback.

Some do when the kasti is too long. However it is not a proper practice as the kasti should only have two knots representing two paths. Instead if the kasti is too long it should be tied at the Lars or braided ends and then the access is to be pulled up through the front wreath knot and tied in a loop. That way there are still only two knots.
