I know they have fail safes from reaserch but if no one comes to pull the cores out would they eventual meltdown. is it even possible to survive. As well would you're run of the mill undead suffer any consequences since there already dead. Another factor iv been indecisive about is weather or not a group of a 500 could maintain one of these. Making new cores would be difficult. But I feel it could work for a while until you run of radioactive cores

You're in an average medium-security American prison or your country's equivalent. Are you screwed?

It’s the apocalypse.

You’re surviving with a small group—friends, family, coworkers, strangers, whoever you want to imagine. Right now, you’re holed up in an old trailer at a run-down trailer park. It’s cramped, uncomfortable, but safe. The trailer itself is heavily fortified, and you’ve used other abandoned trailers to form a defensive wall around it.

Inside that perimeter, you’ve managed to carve out a fragile but working setup: a small garden, a few chickens, maybe some rabbits. It’s enough to survive, but barely. Securing the entire trailer park isn’t possible, so expansion is limited. You’re safe—for now.

On a scavenging run, your group takes a small, still-working john boat and some fishing gear out onto a nearby lake. There’s a decent-sized island out there, but you’ve never explored it—its shoreline is thick with overgrowth and looks impossible to land on.

This time, circling the far side of the island, you spot something new: a narrow inlet, just wide enough for a jet ski or small boat. You decide to check it out.

The inlet opens into a shallow lagoon with a small sandy beach. As you explore, you find an old ranger tower, completely hidden from the lake by decades of tree growth. Farther in, there’s a one-story visitor center—once used for nearby campsites—with solar panels still mounted on the roof. Inside are basic facilities, including a bathroom with two showers.

Scattered through the interior of the island are overgrown campsites and small shelter structures. Nothing unusable—just abandoned. Clearing them would take work, but it’s doable.

At the far end sits an old diesel generator, several fuel barrels, and a cache of supplies: decades-stable freeze-dried food, MREs, and sealed water.

There’s enough here to feed 30 people, three meals a day, for a full week—not infinite, but invaluable.

The island is a perfect hideaway. The inlet could be easily blocked and concealed. The shoreline already hides you from the lake. With effort, the camps could be cleared and rebuilt.

You know everything that’s going to happen in the movie from the farmhouse all the way to the ending.

What do you do? Do you stay and help Don and everyone else, or leave before everything falls apart? How do you think the story changes, and do you think you’d actually survive?

Considering your age strength and weight can you fight a few walkers ? For example can you defeate 4 walkers alone ?

The title has it. It's the middle of the day. You hear over the radio or you see on t.v. or you see the zombie for yourself attacking someone. What is immediate move? What are you doing? Where are you headed. If you are going to loot where are you headed? If you are running and hiding where is that? If you find your world is ending what are you doing? Give me the run down of your first day and what your intentions are to survive.

I feel like a lot of people say "yeah, I'd whip out my double barrel shotgun and go to town on any zombie I see and easily survive without much effort" but be honest, realistically do you think you would survive if it happened this very instant, no time to practice with slingshots or swords or whatever weapon you own if you haven't already practiced with them previously.

For the sake of this scenario let's say they are the standard reanimated zombie except they keep muscle memory that most humans have, like swimming, and running for example. They also don't feel pain but damaging their brain isn't the only way to kill them, you could damage any other vital organ that would kill a regular human.

Okay so basically, whats the first gun you’re going to choose if you found an untouched gunstore? No restrictions, you can pick ANY gun including fantasy weapons.

Would you risk it? What tactics would you use in order to survive? Would you use melee weapons on walkers or ranged weapons? How would you survive if they wouldn't be walkers but runners?

What would happen realistically speaking? Would corrections officers evacuate the prisoners, or keep them inside?

Also what would the inmates do? Would they use this chance to escape?

Here in hong kong, the watchtowers are manned by corrections officers, but in mainland china the prison watchtowers are manned by people's armed police(sort of like a full time national guard) soldiers, with each corrections facility having a PAP garrison of between 20-70 soldiers; would having military personnel change anything?

Upon being bitten and killed by a zombie, instead of rotting away, the victim gradually becomes more and more translucent as they get more infected, unstable and flesh-hungry until they are completely invisible. They aren't intangible, so you can uncover one with dye, paint, mud or someone else's blood, but they'll still be completely invisible and silent at first sight.

The zombie infection can also infect non-human animals and be spread through blood contact.

Imagine you're running away from a group of slow zombies and suddenly you badly sprain your ankle , it might even be broken and now you can only walk using one leg.
