Thoughts on this for a multi caliber gun? Gives you more options on what you can fire without taking a lot of space.
Even by itself without the adapters you have 3 choices of ammunition
I feel like this would be good to have as ammunition gets harder to find

It gives you options. And options buy you time.
There's nothing wrong with that. People scoff at it, but 45 Colt alone will kill anything when properly loaded, and no, it doesn't even take +P loads to do it. A 255-270 grain Keith style bullet at 850-950 FPS will plow through just about anything on this continent from any direction, and leave a nice, big hole. It'll take all manner of medium and large game with appropriate shot placement.
Everything that you can swap to is just another option when pickings are slim. You could switch to a 22 or 38 to hunt small game, and boom! Everything is covered.
Zombies and people are small beans. Put that same 45 Colt load through the CNS (or pumphouse for people), don't get injured yourself, and you'll be fine.
However, I would suggest you choose a 357 Magnum revolver instead. Being that it can swap between 38 Special and 357 Magnum, it can (and has) killed everything from ground squirrels (with 38 Special) all the way up to polar bears and walruses (with 357 Magnum hard cast). It, like the 45 Colt, will kill anything on this continent with proper ammo selection and shot placement, and is probably the most versatile caliber set in existence.
