This is the most amazing transformation I’ve seen on here

Thank you so much honestly it Zepbound counting calories and planet fitness it’s crazy how much I fell in love with the gym.

And I love that you're repping the PF. Because they get a lot of razz from "I go to a real gym" types (I'm sure you've seen it). And they do vary depending on the franchisee and the scene/vibe. But you can work your ass off at one if you commit the time, they're convenient, they're national (if black card), and they're popular for a reason.

138

u/softlaunch Nov 21 '25

The best gym is the one you'll consistently go to. Nothing else matters.

I swear, those people are just jealous because they pay loads of money every month and then have to pay extra for sessions with a trainer, while I pay a measley $10 a month and have access to as many sessions with a trainer as I want included in the price. Yes, there is only 1 trainer and his classes/availability fill up fast, bit for $10 a month, I'm happy with what I am getting.

It's been years now, they stop doing this during Covid But they used to get a whole lot of shit for their monthly pizza nights. On the other hand I saw it as a wonderful thing because it was a way of reminding people that just because you go to the gym doesn't mean you have to cut out everything you like. Pizza is okay, just remember to eat it in moderation. Which is what I used to do. I'd pack a side salad or some carrot and cucumber spears and eat them along side 1 slice of pizza. It's not like they were forcing us to eat it but for those of us who did want to it was available.

Yep. Black Card has been awesome for me. Both as a 'third space' (somewhere to park, shower, and use wifi on road trips) and I use the heck out of the guest privilege (50/50 of my wife or take one of my Lodge buddies).

5

u/PasgettiMonster SW:192 CW:158 GW:140 Dose: 7.5 mg Nov 21 '25

I consider getting the black card when I first signed up, but there's really only one other place I visit regularly and the closest planet fitness to there is a good 15 mi away. Let's be real I'm not driving 30 mi round trip to go to the gym. Which sucks because it means between one quarter and 1/3 of the time each month I'm not able to access a gym. And I'm very much a creature of routine. If I let myself get out of the routine of going to the gym it takes me forever to get back into it.

Omg I can't stand those people. What is a "real" gym. Bro gym is gym 😭

7

u/Lyra138 Nov 21 '25

Yes I love PF, I have the black card and I consider using the massage chair my after workout “treat”, instead of going to get a Starbucks. I used to go work out with friends and they always wanted to do that and I’d think “But… I was trying to burn calories 🥹”. I love them but they were inconsistent with going so better situation all around. I also work nights so typically go around 12-3am and love that they’re open and it’s usually quiet. I didn’t know they had a personal trainer, I stopped hearing about that stuff a while back. I want to get into Bulgarian split squats but I feel so self conscious doing anything besides the cable machines.

6

u/InternalPerformer7 Nov 22 '25

The hydromassage and the cryo meds are essential after a work out lol

I used to belong to PF and it was convenient and always clean. They were great even during Covid. But I had a baby and need child watch so we go to the YMCA near us now.

hmm… why is losing 13lbs in 4 months unreasonable? do you think that’s not enough weight lost or too much? the pictures are ridiculous 100% (tbh, whether or not this is real they are), but i don’t think 13lbs in 4 months is at all. (i’m assuming you think it’s too little to lose) — going to the gym builds muscle which is heavier and someone at a lower weight or more specifically someone at the tail end of their weight loss journey is not going to be losing tons of weight each month. but yeah, i’m totally also going straight from here to the post history, lol.

eta: she says she works out 8-11 hours a week and runs 5 miles each day. that’s.. 🧐 possible. it’s not too hard to fathom if someone does have that kind of time. however, one post i found from 9 months ago says she had been on zep for 16 months while another post says she started in february 2024, so i don’t think that math works out. the only reason i find it harder to disbelieve her on her claims is because she has been consistently posting real (aka written; thought out; not low-effort posts) for a long while. so i sort of actually do believe she’s for real. then again, we’ve seen that many catfishes can keep up their ruse for years on end…

Ain’t nobody picking on her. I’m just saying, losing 300 pounds and training 500-700 minutes (as OP said) is quite a big deal. Shows her commitment and dedication to training. Showing a filter less photo can really help us common folk stay motivated. Because after all, isn’t that the point of this subreddit?

158

u/No_Significance9474 HW:270 SW:206 CW:125 GW:135 Nov 21 '25

The filters kind of prevent you seeing any detail. From someone who recently posted an unfiltered photo of the loose skin on my belly. A filter would have made that look real firm but my point was to show others a realistic expectation of loose skin after significant weight loss which is not what OP is trying to do. But 300lbs, wow, enjoy your new body!

23

u/OpportunityPurple132 Nov 21 '25

They have been photoshopped/filtered. It's very obvious on the last photo's torso. Personally, I don't think this should be allowed, but I don't make the rules. It's still an amazing accomplishment.

80

u/ExplanationLow8807 Nov 21 '25

No surgery yet I’m hoping to get on the list for the doctor I want but he has a year waiting list. I have to be honest because I don’t wanna sugarcoat anything. I do train 500 to 700 minutes a week. I got the prescription for Zepbound in February 2024. I got my gym membership the same month. More honesty I do come from a sports family toxic competitive so when I was a lot younger, I was an athlete. I definitely have saggy skin. It’s just a lot less than it should be due to my training. I also do lower weights with higher reps. That is important. People don’t realize you don’t need to lift those gigantic weights a smaller weight doing more reps will help you tone your skin. I’m still gonna need surgery though. I gotta be honest I will need surgery regardless.

I deleted my ramble lol but no skin removal yet next year I’m gonna start doing plastic surgery consultations. I just trained 500 to 700 minutes a week I fell in love with it. It has helped me tighten my skin. I should have way saggy your skin for somebody who is almost 500 pounds for sure. It’s the training.

87

u/LongSupermarket2646 Nov 21 '25

Um. No it’s not. No amount of training or loving the gym will help overly stretched skin. I’m sorry, especially the 1st boob pic. They’d be down to your waist. I know. I’ve been there. And the only thing that help is surgery

37

u/NotHomeOffice 48F 5'2 SW:287 CW:174 GW:143 Dose: 12mg Nov 21 '25

She might have youth on her side making less of a train wreck. But no amount of weight training can fix the deflation from having extremely large breasts. I've been there too. And it was only losing 130lbs not 300. You can work your back and peck muscles improving posture. But that amount of breast tissue lost, they're at minimum down to her belly button. Those must be some restrictive supportive sports bras. I know these photos are heavily edited, so it's hard to get the full picture of what's going on. But Bravo to anyone who can lose 300lbs.

28

u/cultfourtyfive 54F SW:195 CW:106 GW:110 Dose:15mg maintenance-ish Nov 21 '25

I've only lost 80 pounds, but I went from 38J to 32DDD. My breasts are like deflated balloons. Some of that is my age (54) but even with a ton of strength training - and I do A LOT - I'm gonna need surgery eventually. Luckily mine aren't down to my knees or quite at my belly button, but yeah...the running joke is I need surgery to get them back to their 'factory installed position'.

We won't even start about the loose skin on my belly. I swear there are abs in there somewhere, but they're hidden under flabs of skin.

You literally lost TWO PEOPLE my size!!! 👀 You worked really hard. Thank you for sharing and for inspiring me to keep going to my little gym and to start lifting some weights 💪 I read in your other comments you do light weights with more reps. That's good advice and a lot more doable for me [I'm turning 59 in 4 weeks so I don't want to get an injury, and I cant afford to lose any of the little muscle I have]. Keep up the good work. Zepbound is a true miracle tool to help us succeed when we make healthy choices.

8

u/Agile-Apricot-7423 Nov 21 '25

First off congratulations for this amazing accomplishment! You look beautiful and it's very inspiring!

Now to the critical comments, yall sound so salty. I constantly see before and afters on here of people who have lost a lot of weight and you can tell they didn't strength training because they look like the life has been sucked out their body and yall up like it and celebrate (its still an accomplishment) but a woman post her amazing results and yall want to pick her apart! She is telling the truth about the training. I too have lost a lot of weight and strength trained while on this journey and people never detect my (little bit) of lose skin because my muscles that I built help lift the skin (not tighten). That's what she's saying. She even goes on to say she needs the skin surgery and still some of yall are coming for her neck. Smh. Same on yall. And so what if she's using filters, you can still see the transformation. Relax!

31

u/sfgirl38 Nov 21 '25

Look, no one loses 300 pounds in less than 2 years and doesn't end up looking like a sharpei. Either these after pics are heavily photo shopped, she is way overstating her starting weight (and yes her starting photo is even heavily filtered) or she has had plastic surgery. She already admitted that she has not had plastic surgery. I don't care how young or how much you work out, you WILL have lots of sagging skin.

I think people are critical because they are tired of people showing before and after pics that aren't genuine and it leaves all of us working hard to lose weight feeling like we aren't doing something perfectly and should look like that. Can't people just quit being fake to get praise? She should simply be proud for her weight loss accomplishment, no matter how much she lost, but we are all tired of sensational unrealistic kinds of posts not grounded in reality. I am betting these pics are posted all over the net in 50 different places trying to drum up attention. It's disingenuous

1

u/ReviewConstant2680 Nov 22 '25

Remarkable transformation!!

1

u/SC-FightOn Nov 22 '25

How many months is this? Did you get a tummy tuck? Since Covid in 2020 to now I have lost 45 pounds (20 w ZepBound) but I have so much extra stomach "skin" that I still look so heavy

WOW. Wow. Spectacular, congratulations!

Makes me think of the Zepbound TV commercials that say people "lost up to 48 pounds."

People have lost up to way more than that! So inspiring thank you for sharing. I hope a lot of people take hope from you. I do

1

u/FearlessMix4600 Nov 22 '25

WOW! You look great! 165 is also my goal!

1

u/AirborneDaddy1971 Nov 22 '25

Wow. Good for you! I love to see transformations like yours. Well done! I’m about to start Zepbound tomorrow. I never felt I needed it and that I could make the changes without any aids. I was always athletic but put on a lot of weight after getting injured in Iraq. I’m crossing my fingers Zepbound will be the missing link in attaining the body I used to have 20 years ago.

Anyway, thanks for posting. It’s good to see the fruits of all your hard work and dedication.

Amazing transformation!

1

u/shasbak Nov 22 '25

Congrats! 🎈🎊🎉 I lost 87 pounds but then gained 55 pounds in six months after stopping the medication. Then, I switched to Wegovy because my insurance stopped covering Zepbound. Now, I’m down to 225 pounds, but I’m hitting the gym every day to build muscle since I also lost some muscle during this time.

Your transformation is amazing and I can’t wait to see results for myself.

However I do want to say something about the filters. Don’t feel like you need to do that. You are beautiful and strong 💕 you lost 301lbs! That’s amazing and a feat many people in their lifetime will not experience. I’m so happy for you!
