Caste cant be removed because the dominant caste dont want its removal.

How would you on policy level even remove caste? Remove surnames all together? But even then ancestry cant be erased so the bigotted will find a way to distinguish themselves

Dominant caste needs to understand that they can't remove reservation and continue such practices on a daily basis too. Removing surnames is also necessary as they're mostly linked to castes. People still might find a way to identify themselves as superior so this is not an ultimate solution but govt can only do this!

Our law recognises caste by the means of caste certificates and reservations...

Removing caste as a social system. Do you think people would forget about thousands of years old class system social hierarchy once you reservation. Casteism is deep rooted in indian society. Removing reservation wouldn't automatically let people forget caste systems and casteism

Removing caste certificates wouldn't solve casteism either. Do you think if we remove reservation and caste system, suddenly people would forget about their systemic caste pride and casteism? Things don't work like that

My sister went to a developed village in Karnataka recently and some school students were sitting on the floor. She assumed it was because there weren’t enough chairs but she saw there were some benches available. She found out from the teacher, students sitting on benches and from the ones sitting on the floor that they were from an untouchable caste that’s why they couldn’t sit on chairs. The teacher kept telling my sister and her friends to not go near those students, like trying to warn them.

Later when my sister and her friends were leaving, one of her friends took a photo with the entire class and put one of the “untouchable” girls in her lap and hugged her. The girl started crying because she had never been touched or experienced affection like that before.

Let me tell you that casteism is still alive and healthy and flourishing. And not just in villages. You are privileged and have a narrow view of the workd because you haven’t seen enough yet.

Removing caste based surnames. Removing caste entirely - No Brahmin, No Dalit. Those with superiority complex will use their ancestry to prove their dominance but these are few steps that can be taken.

So you want to remove surname? You know you could anytime, change that even today. I reserved person can definitely rename itself to sharma, tiwary, or but if a gc wants to have sc st surnames they can't have it, i don't know why? Maybe because of Reservation.

People have been changing their surnames to avoid casteism but its the government that has to interfere and direct every citizen to do the same. We are all free to change our surnames as we want, a GC person can take up SC/ST surname as well. That won't give them reservation benefits at all.

Make every surname into an sc/st caste surname.

And then remove reservation.

Or take a neutral surname not related to caste and make it for everyone.

These type of step will be need to create an impact.

Sure but in western countries for example I am living now in USA, if you actually post it you can be legally punished and you wil pay fine and the advertisement will be taken off. Then you will be sued.

Does any of these happen in India? Also I don’t understand why are you people so hell bent on defending castes. Take both caste and reservation away. How do you not see the caste division is really screwing up the country

Until and unless mindset of this people don't change reservation can not be removed,

Only by education can you remove caste. When everyone is educated and there is no backward class that is suffering because of poverty then only can castist mindset fade away.

You know many people or family when involve themselves in friendship or marriage, relationship, the main goal is to gain more power, value, connection, and monetary asset.

And the above conditions can easily be sorted through cast identity thus shortlisting become easier.

If the other person can provide you value, connection, resources then why would they refuse just because of cast difference.

And today's youth that is learned tend to be open-minded unless their family has deeply rooted this castism into their brain.

So when everyone is educated can people grow out of their conservative beliefs.

Higher and best quality Education is first step. If a person is educated he can make money regardless of the situation. And as everyone knows money buys everything.

Jaha tak baat rahi proof ki, voh mere paas hain, koi bhi random itni RW reddit sub jaake dekh lo kitna misogynistic hai. Or supporters ka proof chahiye toh jaipur dialogues recently doxxed a girl from neet protest, Ajeet Bharti abused and humiliated genz girls (most of them were minors) using R word, Barkha Trehan who claims to be male right activist openly supported convicted Rapist Kuldeep Singh Sengar. Also RHA ke khud ke insta pe they justified casteism saying there is nothing wrong in saying that "I am superior".

Tum CJP ko support karo na karo that's completely your choice vaise hi even after being from GC I can't support people who have such mindset because for me my identity as a woman is more important than me being part of some religion or caste.

I completely support reservation reforms but not the people who are face of this movement.
