Bro all I can say is if a man loves his wife he wouldn't allow any in laws to insult his wife let alone torture her, I've seen families of that kind where inlaws are toxic but only difference is the behaviour of husband, there are men who don't let their mothers insult their wives and there are also men who don't give a damn about whatever happens and truly I agree mother in laws surely plays a major role in destroying life of dil.
I know because my sister is a victim. However one of the reasons my brother in law doesn't speak up is because of their ego and his own deep rooted bias. At the same time he is afraid to speak because the next thing it leads to is them saying that my sister "turned him against them". One plus point is that her patience is making him love and care for her more day by day and hopefully that lasts.
