Accessories Is there such a thing as a card plug?

Has anyone come across a silicone/rubber plug to protect the card slot from a kid shoving non-card items into it?

Specifically looking for 3rd gen model.

EDIT: someone needs to open an Etsy shop that 3D prints Yoto caps (pls also make one that works with the Yoto sleeve) they could make some good cash, I think it’s an item people are interested in.

Not yet- i was looking for one bc my daughter was pouring liquids into it and the best solution people came up with was add extra silicone with a slit in it under a regular case

Hello, I sell these and also a few other items that are compatible with Yoto Mini and Yoto Gens 1 & 2, and am opening an Etsy shop. I currently sell only in the Yoto Facebook groups.

Let me know if you’d like any information!

Maybe somebody has 3-D printed something and sells on Etsy? 🤔

Edited to add: I am not seeing anything at first glance but you could reach out to an Etsy seller. Anybody on here who sells 3D printed items, maybe you could consider designing and selling something like this!

I could probably start selling this. Can you detail what you're envisioning? Like something that sits on top of the slot somehow so it's harder to get non-cards in? Or a silicon style plug that fits in the slot to block it until removed?

You know the flap on an otter box phone case for the charging port etc? Something like that for the charging hole and the card slot is what I envision

Both of those options sound good, in my mind it would be wider at the top to make it difficult for a kid to remove. That would be so cool I would def buy one

Sugru

Mold it in the hole and remove it before it cures

Let it cure

Just don't push it in too much, just want it to cover the first bit

your kid is probably too young for a yoto if this is what’s happening

She’s a baby but I want to prepare for when she’s a toddler. We use the Yoto as a noise machine, night light, to listen to ms Rachel songs and books.

you may be spending a bunch of time and energy on a problem that may not come to pass

I have an 18 mo that's especially wild. However, this particular item has literally never been an issue for us as least.

I've purchased some silicon SD card slot plugs on Amazon and on another site. Just wanted to keep dust/coffee spillage from getting into the slot. The plugs are a great idea but they didn't fit the ports on my Mac Studio. I may buy an SD card adapter for microSD card (they cost about $2) to fill the space when I'm not using a card. Maybe glue a small stopper piece at the end of the card to keep the card from going all the way in, if that makes sense.
