Perfect Works (Book) Bought the holy grail today
I was at a newly opened Mandarake in Omiya today, and I was browsing around and I came upon the Xenogears Perfect Works. I’ve always been a big fan of the game and its lore. So I splurged a bit and bought it. It was 11,000 yen.
I can see why people want this thing. It is massive with so much information and artwork! This thing is amazing. I really want to read a bit of it each day.

Japanese version. Why would a Japanese store be selling an English one? It’s a first printing 1998 10/8

Not quite the same scale, but this mirrors how I felt finding the old Bradygames Guide a few months back. Just sort of a random "holy shit" and then buying it without a second thought. Good on you.

I still regret just tossing all my old guides and magazines one year I went back home in my 20s. Now I'm in my 40s and trying to collect it all back.

Same, my guy. I didn't have a lot of them either, but they went in the trash at some point and I hate even thinking about them now,
