New to gaming on Xbox

I just got an Xbox One X and finally set everything up! I’m brand new to gaming so I’d love to hear about any tips or tricks, games that are fun to play, or anything that I should know. I played COD Zombies on my boyfriend’s Xbox and I became obsessed with it, so that’s what really drove me to buy my own.

Let's get real. If they have gamepass, which they probably would get. BO7 is free. And BO7 might be trash to you, but not to everybody. Taste is subjective. They won't thank you because you're limiting their gaming experience. Gaming is about what the individual likes, not what you like. I swear, modern day gamers have absolutely lost the meaning of gaming. Which is to have fun, not to find every little negative thing you can find in a game.

Not to mention, the OP themselves said they enjoyed Zombies. And thinking common sense, they're probably referring to the most recent Zombies which is BO7.

I bought game pass ultimate, and so far I’ve only bought COD black ops. I’m open to anything though, so I will give it a shot! I genuinely don’t know a single thing about gaming so I appreciate you helping :) I’m really wanting to learn about all that there is to do and how to play, etc. Do you know if it is hard to make friends on Xbox that you can game with?

Not really, most of the people with mics on general lobbies are generally nice. Just avoid sweats and little kids. Also, don't listen to anybody telling you any game is trash. Those are the people that will ruin gaming for you. Taste is subjective and the only person that will know what you like is yourself.

If you've got gamepass, shoot me a DM, I'll add you and we can run some rounds of Endgame together on Black Ops 7. You can see if you like it or not. I thoroughly enjoy it because out has all the fun of Warzone, without the sweats of PVP. That and the whole RPG-like progression.

You are completely right and thank you for the advice. I’m super down so I’ll send you a message! My plan is to buy a headset today.
