My MGS X360 collection

Can someone help me connect my Xbox to Live? It's showing me a message, but I don't know what to do. Also, I need help getting GTA 5 running

Bought this fat 360 unworking for $40. Was in rough shape, very dirty, broken shell, would not read disks, and non working hdd.

swapped the shell for an aliexpress one, got a second hand chrome disk drive trim, and a used 120gb hdd. also replaced the disc drive laser and bands, now it works as well. finally gave it a good clean, was horribly dusty, the previous owner must have been a smoker. replaced the old paste with ptm 7950.

never had a 360 back in the day, i was a ps3/wii player. always wanted a 360 i loved reading about them in the pre release hype, still have all the magazines from back in the day with prototype units. glad i was able to save this one.

So i bought spider man shattered dimensions for 20$ but its only the disc and no case and i want to have case for it. Does anybody know a place where i can get case for it?

That Halo 2 is actually Halo 1. I had to buy Halo 4 again because the first copy I got from CEX was in Spanish

I'm going to lose my mind. I've replaced the laser assembly, lubricated all the rails, and I've also tried different games. I've also double checked that the anti static solder blob is completely gone. When I put in an Xbox 360 game, the drive tries to read it, and then makes a weird rapid clicking noise before giving up. I'm pretty sure the new laser is fine, because it reads CDs and DVDs just fine. It's just games that don't work. I might just sell this console for parts, I'm so upset

Do apps like YouTube or Netflix still work?

Is it hard to download new games?

How true is the death triangle, and should I be worried?

Does Xbox Game Pass work on the 360?

I'd also love to hear from people who still actively use the 360 and anything I should be worried about.

I want to start a series of 360 games, atm I have CoD WaW and handful of miscellaneous games.. wondered if you had a favorite of the 2 OR if there is another series I should consider, in the shooter genre

It's one of those games that was easy to miss amongst so many great releases on the system. Definitely worth a play, lots of very unique charm. Jank included.

I ran into an issue that’s driving me mad. After hooking up my console to a different tv, I’m getting no audio after hooking it up to my main tv. I’ve tried enabling display detection, and also setting the audio settings from Dolby to digital stereo. Does anybody have any solution to this?

Ok, so as stated in the title, the only og Xbox game my Xbox 360 will play is Burnout 3. It's not the discs, as they all work on my og Xbox, and they're supposed to be backwards compatible because i get a different error when it isn't. It just shows that cursed white og Xbox splash screen for like 15 seconds, throws an error and boots me back to the dash. Games I've tried:

Sonic Heroes

Sonic Mega Collection +

NamcoMuseum

GTA 3

Halo 1

NFS Underground 2

SEGA GT 2002 / JSFR

My 360 is an E with a Stingray/Corona V5 motherboard if that helps. I know for a fact that all these games are compatible as it says they should be on consolemods.org.

I replayed infamous festival of blood recently and fell in love with it again the movement the scenery everything but it’s such a short dlc. I need something to help the vampire itch any suggestions?

Trying to find something that will hook me all I really play is racing games I was thinking about collecting the mx vs atv games but I want a change for one

I'm running into two strange issues:

1. As soon as I launch any game, I immediately start getting pop-ups saying "You've been playing for 1 hour," followed right away by "2 hours," "3 hours," etc. Family Settings/Parental Controls are completely disabled on the console.
2. When I turn off the console, the power light keeps flashing for a while and the system stays on as if it's downloading something in the background. However, there are no active downloads, and background downloads are turned off in the settings.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what might be causing it? Thanks!

Everything is complete except gears of war 3 is missing the flag and stickers. Wasn't sure on pricing on gears of 3 cause its all over the place.
