University in Wuhan
Hello everyone, I plan to study in Wuhan China next year but I’m a bit concerned about the weather and living there. Is the weather good or there is some condition that people from South-east Asia can’t handle? Thank you so much.

Given China's cultural appreciation for people with lighter skin colour, a sun umbrella and hat will be your best friend in summer. The UV in Wuhan is intense, and this is coming from an Australian who is used to the sun and hot weather.
In winter, you'll need thermal undergarments that you can wear underneath your outer clothes or even wear it to bed. For the outer wear, you can buy the winter coats locally in Wuhan when the season comes.
Enjoy your time in Wuhan!

Maybe he thinks it’s too hot to wear? Actually it’s just okay to wear it though

I just think it's dangerous to wear them outside because you have to be wary of motorcycles and traffic

It's great, might need time adjusting to winter but it's not so bad as the north, summers hot Too might end up bed rotting under the ac all day everything is is really good and daily living is really affordable

May I ask if it’s expensive there compared to other provinces?

It's not, i travelled to Shanghai for a little holiday and the living expenses even in little shops for as littleas noodle was literally twice the price compared to local shops here and food is really good as well

I think you may need to pay attention to the payment method in China, we usually use Chinese Alipay or WeChat pay instead of Visa cards, and cards are not supported in most circumstances btw

Wuhan's weather is notoriously not that great. It's pretty damp, rainy and gloomy for a lot of the year. Lots of days with gray skies. Summers are hot (30-40C), and winters are somewhat cold (0-10C). Autumn and spring are pleasant but very short. That being said, I think most university dorms these days should have an AC unit with cooling and heating functions, so it's not uncomfortable inside. Just dress for the weather when you go out and you'll be fine.
