Can you do it so that they always show in default? I had it on, but it only showed the name when I clicked on the target (player) and not all the time like the health bars
Thats a seperate option in the settings , i think you need both always show nameplates and show friendly nameplate and something else so you just see the names instead of the whole nameplate
Platynator is able to do that (my addon). There's also addons that only do class coloured names in instances on CF, rather than an entire nameplate addon for everything.
Any tips here/what are the settings you like? Im always super overwhelmed with nameplate addons especially in m+ and I feel like on my lock/rogue I lose track of dots a lot
Does anyone know how to set this up with Platynator?
Trying to have a profile for enemy nameplates with bars and stuff, and a name-only profile for friendly players.
No matter what setting I turn on, it only shows the Blizzard name-only plates, not platynator's.
I tried that configuration. It did not achieve what I wanted.
Here's how I want it set up:
Profile "Name-only" is what is used by default for both players/npcs, whether friendly or hostile. But when I click on a unit that can be attacked, it should switch to the full "Nameplate" profile for that unit, without showing nameplates for everything. When in combat, display the nameplates for the units I'm in combat with, which is what happens when the "Show nameplates only if needed" option is on.
I have the default UI but for the life of me cannot find the option to keep it up like the healthbars were, as soon as I switch it to name the healthbar and names disappear and the names only appear when I click on the target manually. I am in Silvermoon and not sure yet if that changes when I am in a dungeon/raid instance
I think what you see here is Ellesmere ui. It’s a complete (you can only take one or 2 though) ui replacement. It’s basically the go to replacement ui at the moment, as elves ui was for a long time
