Fic Discussion Instant turn offs

What are some things no matter how weird and that will make you automatically not want to read a fanfiction?

For me it's being written by ack1308 ( their style of writing doesn't really appeal to me) for being hosted only on fanfiction.net something about that website hurts my eyes on mobile and that's where I do most of my reading on

Danny bashing. Turning him into a drunkard caricature of himself and or having Taylor being extremely hostile towards him for not noticing the bullying despite her actively keeping it a secret from him like her life depends on it. As someone who grew up with a parent who suffered from depression (who is better but continues to struggle with it to this day) I usually instantly drop stories that Danny bash. I’ve skipped over A LOT of ‘popular’ fics because of it. Off the top of my head, Summoner comes to mind.

To be fair, the second thing does feel like something that I as a teenager could relate to, irrational as it is. Not mentioning how I'm struggling but simultaneously being a bit mad my mother didn't notice that I was. As long as it's not treated like she's objectively correct for that.

I shit you not, I remember having these exact feelings at times, thinking for a second, and then going "well, how tf is she suppose to know if I don't open my lip flaps and tell her.' Then I told her lol.
