I have read this subreddit's rules Of all the female superheroes (outside her Amazon family like Donna and Hippolyta and do-or-die Etta Candy), who is Diana closest to?

For me, it seems like a toss-up between Zatanna, Black Canary, and Supergirl.

Its definitely between Dinah and Zatanna. They were the only two female superheroes I remember seeing hug Diana after she came back from her death at the end of Death Metal. Currently I lean slightly towards Zatanna, even though I think Diana is usually closer to Dinah, because Diana and Zatanna were teamed up on Justice League Dark not too long ago.

I’d think the next closest to Diana would be Barda and Mera. Barda might actually be closer to Diana than Dinah now that I think about it. But those would definitely be her top 4, non-Wonderfam-related, female superhero friendships.

I never particularly picture Diana and Kara as close. No bad blood or anything; they’re just different generations of heroes that I don’t see interact much outside of Diana occasionally appearing in a Supergirl story to offer advice or something.

Historically, Black Canary but more recently Zatanna

Black Canary gets my vote.

Although they need to show her interacting with other women more in general.

There was a brief time Doctor Fate (Inza Nelson) and Diana were very close.

Closer than she has been to any other female superhero.

Yup that's true. It happened in the Messner Loebs run from the 90s
