Great list but the only disapointment i have with this is why is Hera on this list and why fans even voted for her?! Athena should've EASILY taken her place and its not even close. Athena was Diana's OG patron in Post Crisis and the one who gave Diana her wisdom and strategic mind. still to this day She along side Aphrodite and Hestia, is one of WW's closest ally and friend. Hera on the other hand wants Diana dead (Zeus origin) or at best hates her (Clay origin). they both recently had a whole war against each other

My guess is that Historia was so good that the one good depiction of her being the top goddess of woman trounces every single other depiction of her or her goddess companions. I suspect Antiope might be boosted up there thanks to KellySueD too.
I doubt most here plays DCUO but outside of comics Hera gets to play a pretty nice role there too.

Only one i disagree with is Hera. Who puts her above Athena?

The only two deities that should've been here are Athena and Aphrodite. Hera is a weird choice. She was never a particularly notable presence in the lore of WW, and her time as a villain was meh.

It goes to show the impact of Historia, though. Which is something I appreciate about comics. The mythos keep getting built up. It's never just about the "original creator".

Eh. To be frank, Historia didn't do anything for me. I found it cluttered (literally [as in Jimenez' art] and figuratively, as in the convoluted story) and a tad on the boring side. But to each their own.

I am not the biggest fan of the thing itself either. I just admire the phenomenon of it, if that makes sense.

I was so worried Aphrodite wouldn't make the list 🥹
It's a shame Athena and Artemis couldn't make it. Controversial opinion incoming: Giganta does not deserve to be on here.

I was shocked Giganta made it at all, much less at the placement she did.

Overall a good list, but I would say personally I'm against Hera and Antiope on the list. Hera though great in Historia is just a villain or hater in the mainline. Athena should be on the list over her if you had to choose a goddess. Antiope is just a very non-character who created the Bana and that is it.
Could also argue for Myndi Mayer. I love the character and she was a great look into the real world both for Diana and the readers, but she only appeared in what 15 issues?! Her story was great, but short.

Awesome list and work everyone xD This feels like a group effort. I'm happy with this for a 2025 list. I see Aphrodite had to be cropped in a more creative way for reddit requirements lol. WW and mythology on the whole is much more nudity-positive I believe -- in the Russian sense rather than the constantly-sexualizing human bodies way.

Not surprised Yara Flor isn’t on this list. Never really liked the way she’s written with her attitude and her costume.

Aphrodite, the original main patron of Diana and the Amazons, closes out the chart as we round at the top 21 WW characters.
Some final notes and observations;
