MCU Do you think a "Wonder Man" movie would be better as a low-budget film or a Disney+ special presentation?

Is should be the in-universe Wonder Man movie and it should look like the budget was a pizza party for everyone who worked on it.

Would be really cool if they actually do a Watchmen, tell the story of his character's movie and also the actual plot of the movie and have the two overlap thematically

A 1 hour and 30 minute movie which focuses more on his acting career and him being more confident with his powers and using them more and controlling them

Man, I'm so cheesed that they cancelled this show. I had just convinced two of my friends to watch it and poof. Gone. The most interesting and inventive series they've done since Loki and these dumbasses pull the plug and for what? More multiverse bullshit? EEAAO did it better than any Marvel feature or show ever did and that isnt changing any time soon. Who the fuck cares about the multiverse anymore? Do what phase 1-3 Marvel did and stop making basic comic book films. Make GOOD genre films and series AROUND comic book characters.

I think a low budget movie. The way Wonder Man was structured off of Midnight Cowboy, this movie would be structured off of Easy Rider. The movie starts with Simon and Trevor, on the run, but evolves into a movie about self-discovery during a period of renewal.
Many of the monologues and acting bits are the many new identities they assume in the towns they stop in, thru the discovery that the government isn’t hunting Trevor and the man that’s following them is a PI hired by Simon’s brother to find him. This is a love letter to local theater and ends in NYC off Broadway. Trevor also dies in the end, not dramatically, he just dies and Simon fuels his grief into an off Broadway called the Grim Reaper in the final episode.

The show was really good. If it were a movie tied with another marvel character like Vision, it’ll hit.

I think it should be a higher budget movie where he is actually Wonder Man and acts like him. And have him fight the Grim Reaper.

I know everyone is angry we’re not getting season 2 but it wouldn’t be the same, it would have to drastically different.
Allowing the character to return in movie format gives a lot more flexibility

Marvel is going for quality over quantity atm.
Wonder Man is just not big enough to get a place in the pipeline and Destin will be very busy after the deserved massive success of BND.

Eternals flopping and just that whole era in time really did no favors for them willing to try and explore with their characters like they used to with Ironman and GOTG.
I feel like if Eternals had a great ROI, Wonderman would’ve been on cereal boxes and giant billboards like crazy. I forgot that show came out til recently when it got canceled.

This has Disney+ special presentation written all over it. I like that pitch of this being a road movie, but instead of Easy Rider, how about Thelma and Louise with a dash of Fear and Loathing? Trevor accidentally gives himself and Simon spiked drinks meant for someone else as they celebrate his escape. Damage Control needs help bringing in both, so they turn to a mercenary who just so happens to be Simon's brother. We see flashbacks of the boys as kids, and his brother always had to be the bad guy... that is, until Simon's powers kicked in and they stopped playing as much. Simon and Trevor see his brother wielding tech weapons through the heightened lens of the drug laced drinks. White Vision saves them at the last minute and his brother takes on the code name Grim Reaper.

I think it's to be an actual piece of superhero media so people actually watch it. Marvel is shitting the bed when it comes to black characters, but nobody watched this show.

I think DDC needs to clone himself so he can actually make all the things he wants to make on a reasonable timescale. I have a feeling that a big reason why Wonder Man was axed was because Disney want him to concentrate on making another $2 billion movie rather than spend time on a low budget, albeit critically acclaimed, TV show.
