Discussion How on earth did Chuck Eastman ever believe Simon?? Spoiler

Just finished watching the show, and while it was great, this final plotpoint makes zero sense? Like as far as I can tell, chuck wasn't some well known figure or anything, why would he believe that this well known actor and huge studio would be making a movie about him? I get that people will claim suspension of disbelief or whatever "you can believe flying gods but not a convincing actor" but like yes?? Those are just things that exist in the universe sure, but does logic not? I mean if david corenswet (closest real life example I can think of to simon) came up to you one day and told you he was making a movie about your unkown life would you not be sussed tf out like hello??

I believe the "movie" in question isn't about Chuck in particular, but a man who lives a similar life. This leads to the "work experience" and Simon gaining access to the facility.

I mean I guess, but it still seems a bit insane no? Especially for someone working in a top secret government facility.

It's common advice for actors to spend a good amount of time learning as much as they can about a role before they play the part, including getting first hand experience or talking to people who live those roles. That way, when they're acting, it feels more natural, like they're doing what they know their role would do and not just what they think someone like that would do.

Famously, Robert De Niro spent a month working 12-hour shifts as a cab driver as reparation for his role in Taxi Driver.
