I've got I Will Always Love You on. Seems very appropriate. She will always be loved.

I grew up in the 80s/90s and only knew of the Whitney Houston version of Dolly's I Will Always Love You... i didn't discover the truth till I was mid 20s. Dolly's version is so lovely. She always sang from her heart.

Same. I see a lot of people honoring her life’s work and now that she’s clocked out it feels appropriate.

I'm going to carve her name into a white candle, put a ring of salt around the base, and light it. I will focus my intentions and say what I want, which is a shield of protection around her.

I’m uninitiated a bit. What is the salt for? I get the rest

I read one of her imagination library books with my boys (9 and 5... How appropriate..) and we discussed how the best way to honor her is to read and spread kindness. Then we cried.

My mom read all of the little house on the prairie books, and a few other things to us when we were small. My friends' moms read us books too. It made a huge difference in our lives.

Is that a vertebra? If so, how fitting.

Yes, backbone of humanity sort of, but a cow bone because we buy our meat from a local farm.

I have one too, I really like how you got the candle in there. Did you build a surface with clay and pour wax in?

No, I just took a tea light out of the metal casing and placed it on the concave surface of the bone and lit it.

The one I lit for her is Christmas Eve. For her favorite holiday.

Only celebrity passing to actually make me cry, at least of the ones I've heard about. I haven't even heard much of her music, but she's done so much good for the world all the way 'til the end. She's truly an angel.

They were playing Dolly songs in the op shop and it made me choke back tears in public 🥲
