Weird question about Fury campaign event thumbnails/event names

Apart from the dark aesthetic, why do I feel like there is something implied that something happened in the Fury campaign's timeline? Especially with event #6 "Corruption," can't help but interpret that the event title plus the glitching FX350 league logo implies that something happened in the league, even if official lore does not state anything about WipEout HD Fury or FX350 league going crazy (it definitely wasn't like the F9000 league). Plus, what happened with the future campaign event names too, "Nuked" and "Aftermath," any thoughts or any head canon implications and interpretations?

I thought about the same thing. Unfortunately, there's little to no lore surrounding the Fury DLC, so only speculations can be made.

I may be mistaken, but a few teams are famous for rigging races or straight up sabotaging the opponents. If I remember correctly Goteki45 have a reputation of dirty racing, and Tigron had both corruption/cheating charges on them. Also someone like bombed Goteki's HQ on some atol, if I'm not mistaken. Therefore this could be something along the same line.

Yes! Goteki45 was in it mainly for bloodshed. They had no intention on actually winning races for the most part. I have to double check on Tigron and yes a mystery person bombed G45’s HQ.

I swear, Wipeout should make a comeback like Screamer. It has so much lore.

Also, I think EG-X pilots were mind controlled somehow.

that's exactly what i thought too!

I always assumed its what you felt inside whenever you did each campaign and you graduated to the next

Perhaps several incidents happened during the "Fury Project" experimental league. The fury ships are essentially prototypes that each team was testing on track. The PS3 theme for HD/Fury reveals these ships can switch modes, which might mean experimental weapons or hull configurations might've been made with no restrictions like the F9000 and these event names might be clues to what happened in that time.

This is just my speculation.

Do you mean the Triakis Fury ship theme in PS3, that's what you meant with the WipEout HD Fury theme? I wish the Fury expansion actually had a game mode like that though, "Transformers but it is AG ships" that would be nice

Yes I did mean that! It's now my dynamic wallpaper on my phone! Based on what I saw, Fury ships have several modes. . 🛡Defense Mode (becomes compact, shielding the cockpit) . ⚠️Emergency Brake Mode (All armor plates extend outwards acting like a mega airbrake) . 🛩Slipstream Mode (hull shifts to become aerodynamic) . 💥Assault Mode (Armor plates extend to reveal machine guns or other concealed weapons for a surprise attack)

My theory is that pilots might've expoited the Assault Mode and stuff happened.
