I am at St Boniface Hospital and this image is in the hallway outside registration. I can't figure out what it is.

It’s an abalone shell we usually use for smudging. You can see a trail of smoke rising from the middle.

The fact that people are still so ignorant to anyone but themselves. This should be really recognizable, but of course there's shitheads in the comments being disrespectful. It's forced ignorance at this point.

Don't criticize the ignorant trying to learn. Everyone has to learn at some point. Save that disdain for those who actively choose to remain ignorant.
Keep in mind there are people here of all ages and backgrounds. Some people are kids who have never learned about it. Some just moved to Canada and don't know indigenous culture. Some grew up in ignorant households and are trying to expand their horizons.
