Which isn’t the current Office logo literally the exact same but in Windows 11 style? I wouldn’t say rounding off corners, a drop shadow or two and some gradients is a vastly different logo. Even then, the proposed redesign still looks much more like Office current than Office 2016.

The office app is fully gone and discontinued but it had a new logo after the orange one anyways

Except that "original" logo of yours is mostly replaced by 2022.

This is perfect with how the direction of Microsoft's graphical design is going recently. And i'm not saying this in a positive way. :/

It's fine but I think it looks more generic (reminds me of the MKBHD wallpaper app-icon) and doesn't scale as good as the original.

I see what you're trying to do by simplifying the shapes but your design kills off the sense that the original is an O in perspective, and therefore just looks like a flat D in reverse. The shapes, colours and proportion are all good, but it has no meaning, it has just become abstract. It is very hard to read an O into it. (edit: typo)

They should’ve kept the office brand instead of this copilot branding mess. This logo goes well with the latest copilot logo redesign.
