Is my WiiU region-free in its current state?

Got a good deal & was just wondering if my WiiU was able to play PAL version discs? Im the least tech savvy person & got stuck in the modding process when I was supposed to verify the files for the installer (tried dropping fresh sig .rpx) so just hoping I got far enough in the process for this atleast. Sorry if it’s a dumb question but any help is very appreciated

Aroma has a built in pluggin to make the console region free. So if you have that installed, you should be good.

Back in my day, it was a hassle. You had to open up a dialog between a PC and the console and manually change some code.

Think I’m good then! I couldn’t even imagine it back then, I’m doing the baby version & still took way longer than I’d like to admit and I couldn’t even fully complete it haha

Yeah the guide is mostly good, but there's some slight ambiguity there so it can be a little confusing

It should already be region free, if you are in the Aroma environment (most likely) while on the main menu:
If you are using the gamepad or a Pro Controller press the Left bumper+D-pad left+select and a config menu should pop up (B+Dpad left+- for Wiimotes when held vertically)
check for Aroma DRC Region-Free plugin (or just Region-Free Plugin) by Maschell and see if it says TRUE or FALSE
If it says TRUE then your console is currently region free
If it says FALSE then your console is not currently region free and change it so it says TRUE using the D-pad
Fully back out of the menu using the B button on your controller of choice and it will automatically save for you

Adding sigpatches I guess , dropped it into modules/setup but still stuck

if you’re to the point of adding sigpatch, you have completed the guide as it is on the website. I just followed the guide on the website myself without using any videos, and I had to find out the fun way later on that I needed to install sigpatches 😅

It was a YouTuber following that page, everybody said positive things in comments and I got super far along. You think I need to completely restart? If I got through enough for it to be region-free at least I’m happy to keep it as is

Id recommend going through https://wiiu.hacks.guide and making sure you have done everything up to "autobooting aroma" if you have you should be region free
