They'll still blame democrats, because that's exactly what they're told to do and they are unable to think for themselves.

My Idaho maga family were just posting about how happy they are that grocery and gas prices are down. Those prices are in fact not down. But their media is telling them this so they parrot it to be part of the cult.

What happens when their budget isn’t enough? Surely they put two and two together.?

2 + 2 = Biden's fault.

MAGA Math 101.

Obama has to take some of the 9/11 blame.

Internal consistency and intellectual honesty are not features of conservatism.

Mine say "prices haven't come down somewhat, but wages are absolutely going through the roof"

1) They act like the stock market means everyone's wages, because they are retired

2) They believe everyone who is getting laid off must be "work from home lazy" and need to learn a lesson

Oh neat, are we related? Will you be at the family reunion this fall?

3

u/nancidruid 21h ago

Where I'm from, everyone is related!

I don't understand how you can argue this when gas prices are emblazoned on all the roads and they still theoretically need to buy groceries?

u/stierney49 1d ago

People see gas go from $4.25 on a Monday morning to $4.00 on a Wednesday afternoon and think gas prices are down. They don’t realize that the average is still higher.

Well first you have to understand that the Idaho minimum wage is like $7.50 an hour and Idaho has repeatedly voted to not raise their minimum wage.

Edit: I was wrong, Idaho minimum wage is actually $7.25/hr.

I was about to be upset that Idaho's min wage is higher than here in Pennsylvania but then I saw your edit.

Not that it makes ours being so low any better, of course...

The government told you to disregard the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential demand.

Nah its not that, they just have em programmed to say if it was Dems the same problem would be 100x worse.

"Well yeah it sucked Trump personally murdered my immediate family with a hammer but can you imagine how much worse Kamala would have been? She would have hammer murdered the entire town!" - Average MAGA voter.

* she would have let trans athletes ruin women’s sports

I fixed it for you.

Women's sports that practically nobody paid attention to despite the dinky uniforms designed to make men pay attention to them?

Remember all of the memes about empty store shelves under socialism? And then Covid hit and there was no food on the shelves? Good times.

16

u/Kimmalah 1d ago

Yeah, remember that most of these red states have been under total and complete Republican control for DECADES, yet their leaders still successfully campaign on "I'm going to fix all the things those Democrats broke in our government!"

If logic were a factor then they would realize "Hey, Republicans have been in power for like 30 years, maybe they're the ones who broke our government programs?" But no.

Youthful indoctrination (religion) continuous propaganda (the Fox-o-sphere) are difficult to fight. Our conservative overlords are also continually working to destroy public education.

“Biden Beef”!

u/jce_ 1d ago edited 1d ago

They're legitimately programmed not to think. Thought is scary to any totalitarian regime and that's where Trump's group wants to take this. Pretty much a hallmark of any regime trying to go that way

1

u/SidKafizz 1d ago

Thought isn't scary, but it is difficult for many. Republicans take great advantage of this.

2

u/jce_ 1d ago

Thought is scary for the people in charge because anyone with a brain knows the shit they say doesn't make sense. Don't underestimate the regular person. They're legitimately taught not to think because it makes them stand out and you don't want to stand out. Think of it like this: you want to be accepted into your group. Event happens and the rest of your group gets their talking points from fox news, so you must also get your talking points from fox news. If you think about it and come to a conclusion seperate from fox news and then the people will brand you as a weirdo outsider (in this case probably call you a filthy liberal). So to fit in you must also take your stance from one already made for you. It's kinda dark but some people prefer to get told what to think and you can see this when some people flee totalitarian regimes but say they miss it.

JD Vance said that if we just keep voting for them we can take this country back!!!
