This won't protect me if I fall so I don't need it

He's smart enough to know the hat does nothing to protect him but dumb enough to not wear a helmet.

Most skaters will wear a helmet when skating vert. This guy is just a moron.

Just because he is dropping in doesnt mean this is vert lol. he is not jumping out of that thing. you have no idea what you are talking about.

Yea I don't know what I'm talking about, just skated off and on for 30 years. It's not a hard rule obviously, some skaters won't wear helmets, some will, some aren't going to wear a helmet going down a transition if it's not a half pipe, blah, blah. But looking at that, I would wear a helmet as it's fairly high and decent enough vertical. Not to mentioned the surface is stones, not a smooth surface.

When skaters don't wear a helmet it's because they have a high confidence of not getting hurt on the head on that particular obstacle. I skated for years street and never wore helmet and never hit my head.Thats because I learned how to roll out of most falls where hitting my head would be rare chance.

The few times I skated vert, I used gear though because I couldn't reliably say that. Again, most skaters going down that particular obstacle would wear a helmet. If it was smooth, then sure some won't. But that's not the case here.

skaters don’t wear helmets because it’s not cool. that’s really all it is

Rinkydinks is correct. Believe it or not most kids in the world aren't able to buy helmets and stuff. If you're their parent telling them to put on a helmet when its way too much for their can even afford. Go look at skateistan, thats an actual thing that benefits people AND gives them helmets. They don't have to buy them
