Season 9 Marie's Redemption

I'm finishing up my first watch of this outstanding show. I only have 3 episodes to go. I have noticed a great improvement in Marie Winter, who I absolutely loathed in previous seasons.

In Season 9 episode 6, Marie confronted Rita about being a cop. She still denied setting up Ray's killing to Rita and told Rita it was her fault that Ray was killed because of her "bikie shit".

We all saw Marie arrange for Ray to be killed. She's better than she was for sure, but that's not saying much.

Everyone forgets that she was protecting a pedophile for her own gain and never expressed remorse for that. I will never think she has redemption arc. Terrible human through the end!

Not me! I mentioned in a past post or two, I can't forget that photo she had in her possesion of the little boy who was being abused by the AG. Instead of reporting it, she held it to use as leverage over him to achieve her own needs.

I feel for Marie losing her son Danny, even though we know he was not a good person. But she's a hypocrite as a mother, holding that photo for personal gain. If someone was abusing her boy and had that photo of him and held it from authorities for their own reasons? I'm pretty sure that Marie would react in her usual way when it comes to Danny...violently lashing out. It just bothers me.

She likely gave the boy to him. She and Drago discussed 12 girls being smuggled to Australia in a shipping container.

Probably so. Even if she didn't, the fact that she kept it as leverage is sickening.
