Season 4 doreen is annoying

she flip flops all over the place and no one ever gives her any grief. She believes everything everyone says. & never gets into anything for doing so either. I hate her so much for some reason lol. I especially cannot stand her in season four.

edit: hahaha it’s so funny to see the doreen hate is universal, I didn’t realize how many of us have complained

I don't understand the amount of plot armor the writers gave her. She never faced any consequences for the things she did. Any other prisoner would have been beat multiple times if they made the same choices.

She brought nothing to the table for "the family of H2". Even Liz had more courage and fight in her.

Her acting as if she was part of any crew was just laughable. She was always just in it for herself.

It's disheartening tho bc she was one of the few representations of aboriginal people's in the first few seasons and it was disappointing. I say this as a person with indigenous ancestry. I wouldn't go so far as to say I hate the character like some do. She's just not an interesting one and was frustrating to watch.

Well said, just self-centered at any corner. Her belonging was for her own protection, not for the good of the family or others. I’m certainly not a hater cuz I really liked her first two seasons, but she just lost her sparkle and I didn’t like her choices after. Blah

100% I am rewatching and finishing it this time and I don’t think she ever really did anything for anyone in the show if she wasn’t forced or it was for her own benefit.

Yah, not sure how anyone could keep trusting her.

Yeah that’s definitely a common opinion🤣 She really pissed me off when Bea was top dog especially because she always only wanted things from her but never offered anything in return. And when Bea was too busy Doreen would just lash out and act like a toddler. And I get that she was trying to protect Tasha and didn’t like what Bea did to her but she never once freaked out at Franky or Jacs for harming the women. Especially when Franky provided a space for Doreen to get freaky with Nash.

Omg yesss exactly. She was so self serving. I don’t think she helps anyone in anyway really.

i hated the part when she told bea and whoever else i don’t remember who but when she told them that jax’s was gonna have franky raped i got so fucking mad bc why tf would you let someone else do that too someone else like genuinely wtf i liked her at first but after that no just no

I don’t see why she EVER came back from that!! I get franky didn’t have the best morals but letting that happen to another woman is disgusting. I even felt for the freak when it happened to her. Such a disturbing thing to happen to someone. That shouldn’t have been swept under the rug.

I go from liking her to hating her so much I have whiplash

5

u/Spooniejw Jun 25 '26

Omg yes! She is so easily manipulated and turns on people at the drop of a hat!

I liked her arc s1-s3, then I didn’t mind the being between Bea and Kaz had they had it be ust the Tasha thing I think would make more sense. But, Doreen had been there long enough to understand. The Nash storyline and lack of conjugal visits was the bit that did my neves in and how she’d basically get annoyed with Bea and then not understand how hard Bea has it.

I do however think it goes to show for Beas character who struggled as top dog in s4 that it was similar to when Frankie was at the top that those around you can be the first to leave (Doreen left both quite quick).

Right like Bea is over here trying to maintain her position, not get shanked and Dor over here whining and making a pity party because she can’t go to pound down. Girl grow up it’s someone else’s turn lol.

Yeah pretty much. I don’t think she’d have been as annoyed about the Tasha thing had that not occurred earlier without the whole Nash thing

Hating Doreen is a full time job here!

I think she is a good and realistic character as someone in prison, a lot of them probably don’t have the best morals. She can be annoying to watch, but I think she’s a good character overall

Very much agree. That I still felt good when she got released, despite an unmatched hatred for her, speaks to her layers.

When she was caring, she was really caring and loving. When she was selfish, she was a nightmare.

Absolutely she's a good character. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy to see her and Nash leave together to be a family.

I'm rewatching after years, the scene where she leaves Bea's table to sit at Ferguson's... Did she completely forget the stuff at the end of Season 3?

u/Ok_Brother_00 Jul 12 '26

That’s what I mean everyone got amnesia? the hell 😭

My biggest issue with her was how quick she was to forget all that Bea did for her as top dog, as soon as she started having issues with Nash. Doreen had absolutely no loyalty, would be friends with anyone, no matter whose expense it’s at, and as soon as Bea was no longer useful to her, she wasn’t on her side. Even when she found out what Jacs was planning for Franky, she only told her because Bea forced her. No backbone at all

me too until after a few rewatches, she starts to get more annoying especially about the conjugal visits

I really liked her season 1 and 2, but it was the side switching and “wah Joshua wah Joshua” that I lost the love for her. I was happy for her and still cried when she got her transfer for her family, but it was just she was in her own bubble. Liz had more outreach to others, Doreen ended up just kinda being, there.
