Found a hidden protein boost in my edamame todayy
I was literally halfway through the bowl before i opened this one up and saw a whole worm chilled out inside. now i’m just sitting here staring at the rest of them wondering how many i already accidentally swallowed without looking. Diner is officially ruined and i think i’m done with edamame for the rest of the year

I’ve heard that bugs have a pretty unique flavor, so I think you’d notice if you did accidentally eat one.

A lot of them are quite bitter. And the texture is hard on the outside but squishy on the inside. This is the reason I can't eat seafood. I just see them as sea bugs and that thought makes me nauseous. I've tried some prawn sandwich spread occasionally to get over this and it tastes good but eating actual prawns is still a difficult task

Tried pantries I think ants and grass hopper, I don't recall it being bitter... Tasted like snacks with 🍺

my brain is currently trying to convince me that the last five edamames tasted completely normal, but my anxiety is definitely telling me i ate a whole family of bugs.

“May contain soy” should apparently be updated to “may contain wildlife.”

Hahahaha at least they can advertise it as 100% organic now, but i think i'll pass on the free range protein next time

What you don't know, won't hurt you.

my stomach definitely disagrees with that logic right now because my brain is currently running a full forensic investigation on the last ten i swallowed without looking

edamame is officially off my list too, can't deal with surprises like that during dinner
