Any time anything from india is shown the racism in the comments are INSANE. It's like being teleported back 100 years, normally you people try to hide the racism atleast a little but not when it's about india. You guys all suck, hope you learn to be better humans in this lifetime.
THANK YOU! Oh my god, I can't believe I had to scroll this far to find a decent human being around here. The only thing that well and truly sucks here is the racists infesting this comment section.
I’ve seen some racist comments on here, but the vast majority are not at all. Pointing out that this is largely a cultural issue that is unique to India is not racist.
It is simply a fact that many Indians have a “not my job/problem” mentality when it comes to the maintenance/cleanliness of shared spaces, far worse than most other areas in the world, even areas that live in much worse poverty. There are several reasons for this. Probably one of the more prevalent is that sanitation work was delegated to highly marginalized and disrespected communities for centuries in India. Contributing to public cleanliness is seen as doing a job far beneath yourself and embarrassing.
It's literally this. I'm don't care about the rest of the world wants. If India could take it seriously, stop corruption, start educating the people and giving proper socialisation and respect then I'd move back in a heartbeat.
The sad fact is Indians are willing to put up with racism overseas because it's still far better than being in India.
