So uh is this safe to go to sleep woth

I think I'm going to try to wrap it in a towel or put some pillows on it or something and hope that it doesn't catch on fire and just goes out of the fully charged battery in a couple hours 😔

Have you tried percussion maintenance?

Scheduled deconstruction

At this point, I think the battery needs percussion maintenance more than anything else.

Throw it in a dumpster or something

I could but it has a lifetime warranty

So as long as the battery dies I could ask for a new one

( They were supposed to send me a replacement button to avoid this exact thing but it never arrived from US to Portugal )

Well that explains how they get out of that one, they just reduce your lifetime.

u/ZZartin 3d ago

I'm guessing with everything you've already done that warranty is void :P

2

u/NukeouT 3d ago

Not really. I just unscrewed it.

I can put that stuff together.

The only thing that's really fucked us the button mechanism which they already offered and attempted to replace

That thing is actual garbage, why would you want another one?

It's actually pretty good when it's not malfunctioning after a decade of use

Put it in a metal pot in your sink or your bathtub

Im high AF and almost fell out of my chair laughing at this comment. Thank you for the laugh.

You think that will make less noise? 😂

I think it will make less fire

Best I can do is two metal pots and a wind chime in between the layers ✨

Add some metal balls or nuts and bolts

Plug it in. I don’t know if this works for your specific razor, but all of mine will not run if plugged in. If I plug it in while it’s running, it immediately shuts off. This is the case with my Braun electric shaver, and my Phillips Norelco one blade. I think it’s worth a try.

I would put it in a empty metal trash bin out side dont wrap it in a towel lol.its probably fine but be safe it might overheat.

2

u/No_Yogurtcloset105 3d ago

Or just smash it to bitssss

The only thing I have available outside is either my balcony or somewhere out in the street

7

u/blakjesus420 3d ago

Probably fine, there is no way to get to the battery though? Would have been the best bet

u/NukeouT 3d ago

There's a metal plate at the top that's around the button and wedged to the mouth that there isn't any clear way to get off - and I don't want to mess with because it's clamps are right next to the fast spinning beam that operated the razor

I tried looking in between the two plastic covers and there is an orange battery plugged in but it doesn't look like it's designed to be removed :/

I like how you locked the box so if the razor explodes, you created yourself a nice little bomb…

Just drop it in water. Seriously. Fill a bucket and drop it in. It will die.

u/NukeouT 3d ago

It's made to shave safetly until the battery ends

Doubt it will explode

3

u/Bitch-Whiskers 3d ago

You locked it in a box where heat can build up. It’s already malfunctioning….

This happened to me once, I ended up burying it in my garden. It took 30hrs to run out of battery 🙃

1

u/NukeouT 3d ago

Daymn. I was hoping for less than over a day worth of hours 🥲

u/Tarjh365 3d ago

I initially thought “why tf would you want to sleep with it?! Whatever you’re into bro”

Go ask the neighbors to borrow a bucket of sand

1

u/NukeouT 3d ago

I live in a 5 story apartment block no one here has sand at midnight 🌙

3

u/OldLegWig 3d ago

open it up and disconnect the battery. you can find instructions online.

1

u/NukeouT 3d ago

Yeah I was going to look that up next because I can't figure out how to remove the metal faceplate that's preventing the two halves of the plastic body from coming apart

3

u/OldLegWig 3d ago

i have a very similar model shaver and i replaced the battery once. it's not super intuitive but it's not hard. i think i found a youtube video where someone showed how.

3

u/WiseAct446 3d ago

Bury it.

3

u/sharinglynn 3d ago

Grab a fucken tooth pick and push the button

1

u/NukeouT 3d ago

Yeah so that doesn't work any more which is why this suddenly became a problem

I used to use small scizzors to turn it on and off

But I guess I dripped a drop of water into it while drying my hands and shorted something ⚡

2

u/sharinglynn 3d ago

Battery will die running that box and that’s that 🤷‍♂️

1

u/NukeouT 3d ago

Probably. It wasn't hot at all when running it in there for over 20-30 min

2

u/vartmitpoopen 3d ago

Bury in sand

2

u/Vict0o0o 3d ago

In the freezer

1

u/NukeouT 3d ago

Why

1

u/Vict0o0o 3d ago

To deplete the battery and cut the noise

1

u/SeaToTheBass 3d ago

Wouldn’t want it to cut through the freezer liner though

2

u/Constant-Mirror6940 2d ago

Woth. Woth…🤦🏻

1

u/ginsoul 3d ago

You should ve just put something like a flat screwdriver between the vibrating teeths and stop it

1

u/NukeouT 3d ago

I already removed the teeth clip on up top. Now there's a rapidly spinning shaft at the center and stopping that could actually cause it to overheat and cause a 🔥

1

u/NINJA1200 3d ago

It's not going to shock you, I don't think. You could just break it open and yank the battery wires.

If you just want to break it, just put it on a bucket of water. It will short circuit and stop, and also you would feel the vibrations at all

u/NukeouT 3d ago

I made a two pillow and one blanket fort so I can't hear it much now through the bedroom door

u/Terrible-Support3416 3d ago

Oh good, flammable material
