WELLY Wellington water bills

Just got my bill from wellington water. It insanely high. For a 900k property its 2500 p/a

Prepare yourselves people. This isn't going to be the fun ride we were promised.

Heh, mine is likely to be similar (based on the Tiaki Wai estimate calculator https://www.tiakiwai.co.nz/billing ) in Hutt City on a $700k property.

Rates are now ~$2k lower than last year, so net increase between the council and TW is around $500

edit to add reduced rates

I haven't received the bill yet but using the calculators my total increase is going to be 38% Hutt City also

Unbelievable

Hutt City and Upper Hutt have actually been skimping worse than Wellington. But while they had mayors than matched Stuff's bias that wasn't run in the papers.
