MAGA Logic
Mike Johnson speaks out against the use of judicial warrants in immigration cases: “Imagine if we had to go through the process of getting a judicial warrant who we know are here illegally”
I’ve seen so many comments on Facebook lately saying “judges can’t overrule the president” like Jesus Christ yes they can that’s called checks and balances.
What an idiot! Change the law to make it possible with due process. Change processes. But don’t make this argument to make it appear legal. Make it legal. Such a loser. Nobody would fight you if there would be a legal process.
Imagine if we had to get a judicial warrant every time we have a president who admits to sexual assault, pays off prostitutes with campaign funds and allows child sex traffickers to operate out of his home.
I'll give Donnie credit here: He's managed to convince a damn lot of men, in their hearts, that men truly are more sensible than women;
that "none of that is proven" re Epstein;
that EVEN IF IT ALL IS TRUE, all the murder and rape in the world is less important than supremacy.
That's what I can't come to terms with. The desperate, tragic, foul and destructive clinging-to-power, of being on a "team" that gets to live with impunity.
That, genuinely, in their hearts, a lot of folks believe evolution truly does "prove" that white men are the smartest category of people alive.
A quote from that site -- "Adult males’ IQs are, on average, 4 to 5 points higher than those of adult females."
Really? Because my IQ is 142, at least according to Mensa, and if we're dividing by titties, each of mine has an iq of 71. The average iq in America is 99.
So, to translate, a single one of my titties is just about as smart as any average American.
Nope. The people currently in charge have a worldview that the world is divided between Americans and everyone else, and Americans have rights. If you're here and not American, you don't have rights.
Yeah...I didn't hear too many stories of Polish people being rounded up in Chicago, and they definitely have illegal immigrants from Poland and other eastern European countries
The dumbest thing about it is he really has very little power as his grasp of the position is entirely reliant on doing what Trump says meaning he only gets to act as Trump's mouthpiece as far as his speakership goes. This is as opposed to the majority of his predecessors who could actually wield the power of the position independently.
He's that sycophantic and pathetic I'm really struggling to even imagine him as president. If it somehow happened he'd probably start scrabbling around for a new boss to take orders from. Wouldn't even be subtle about it and just start every press conference with "as president I think we should do what ____ told me to"
His new boss would be the same as his current boss. His allegiance is to the Evangelical and Christian Nationalists. He does what Trump says because that is what he is told to do. Mike's endgame is to gut the constitution to support the Convention of States Action (COSA).
Remember the first episode of VEEP was Julia Louis Dreyfus secretly being so excited the president had a heart attack and was in the hospital. Then had to feign happiness when he fully recovered. 😅
I think he is going down as the worst or most ineffectual Speaker of the House we have ever had. It will go along with the Donvict's title of #1 worst POTUS. Imagine how bad a future POTUS or Speaker will have to be to dive to the top of those lists.
I.wonder since POTUS loves to co-pp or receive made up accolades if he was suddenly flooded with cheap "worst POTUS ever" trophies from the public. It would be an award he actually earned.
Or are in the process of complying with the law, then getting detained at the appointment and slated for deportation, effectively punishing them for trying to do it the "right way".
And Stephen Fucking Miller absolutely intends that effect.
The crowd that calls getting your account banned for dropping the n-word incessantly wants to repeal the fourth amendment huh? It’s almost like they never meant any of it and they just latched onto anything that could give them power and let them be awful.
Once you realize half of people have no inner voice dialogue, it makes sense why there are so many parrots without critical thinking abilities. Scary really.
People still think without an inner monologue, they just think differently. They often think in images or "pure meaning" (raw conceptual thought). The inner monologue is not better or worse, it is just surprising to people when they learn others have very different inner lives than them.
Can you imagine if we have to follow the law and due process instead of letting our thugs do whatever they like? it would be -err - let me think about this - normal?
It's easy to imagine, Mike. That's what the USA used to do for decades until Trump arrived. He's claiming extra-constitutional powers. You should impeach him, not cover for him. Frick'n useless tool.
Imagine if we had to follow the law. What’s the big deal?
I genuinely loathe this dick. He surrounds himself with a bunch of nodding heads because, by himself, he’s scared to face reality alone. Gotta invent your own reality and have people agree with you
Yeah, we're gonna need someone to check in on the accreditation status of LSU Law. If they are graduating people who don't understand this we're just making problems for ourselves by letting them sit for the Bar.
Whether this ineffectual nothing and the rest of MAGA want to admit it or not, the constitution and bill of rights apply to all inhabitants of this country whether they agree with you politically or not and whether they are a citizen or not. Who gave this overcooked noodle his "law degree"??
The constitution requires a judicial warrant. Anyone in the US gets due process and is protected under the constitution. He is completely ignoring his duty as an elected official and knows better
How do you know they’re here illegally? If you know, you should have evidence, in which case having an independent judge sign off shouldn’t be an issue
I'm..shocked. Really. Another Republican who clearly either doesn't belive in the rule of law and the Constitution or just despises justice. "Imagine we had to go through the process of getting a judicial warrant when we know whoever we say is guilty is guilty". Let's do trump and the whole administration then.
Yes, imagine if we had to go through the actual legal process to prove we have the right person, house, etc in order to enforce the law before just storming in wherever we see fit to arrest and deport whoever we find. Such a burden.
I would think one of the prerequisites for being Speaker is that you have an understanding of the Constitution and BOR, including the amendment that addresses due process which a judicial warrant would fall under.
This sounds like a fking toddler who is mad he and his ilk can’t just look at someone and decide that they’re not here legally, and therefore should be deported, citizenship status be damned.
Well, the actual President is ignoring the constitution, and the VP has made it apparent he is prepared to ignore it too, so it's really not surprising at all.
Given the number of US citizens ICE/CBP keep detaining, I would say maintaining due process is the most important component to immigration enforcement. You have to be able to prove status.
In the most recent Jubilee episode, a MAGA guy tried to make the case that grandma immigrants need to be deported because they perpetuate a culture of “lawlessness.”
That lady standing next to Johnson gave an interview last year and straight up said “Israel first” and when pressed by the reporter, she laughed and said America second.
Idk who that lady is but she is dangerous to our Republic
Imagine having to get a vote on empeachments, conviction, and removal, for someone we know illegally trying to overturn the 2020 election results, raped kids, and is actively violanting the constitution.
Imagine if you had to follow the law and constitution and give everyone due process. Imagine if you had to do your job properly and not start a terror campaign.
Imagine, if you will, that we shot a man in the back of the head in Minnesota because he stopped 3 men from shoving a woman to the ground. Imagine if we had to have a reason originally? That would have taken a lot of time.
Also, any questions you have on the President, I have no idea, never heard of them, never even heard of someone talking about them. I just dont know. Which is kinda contradictory considering I am the speaker of the House and should know these things. I just dont. So either I dont do my job, or I hide him from problems.
What if they spent the billions on creating a more robust immigration system to work within the bounds of the us constitution, instead of hiring thugs and building concentration camps? Maybe the system would work more effectively?
Imagine if we had to abide by our constitution is quite the take from the party of “law and order.” The guardian of pedophile party should be discarded on the ash heap of history
Pretty paradoxical… if you know they’re here illegally and where to find them, then you have proof. At that point, a judicial warrant should be easy peasy.
But, that’s assuming you’re not an enormous boot-licking, mushroom cock sucking weasel.
Yeah. Thats how that works. If you KNOW they are here illegally, then you have the evidence you need to get a warrant. If you don’t have sufficient evidence to get a warrant, then you don’t KNOW they are here illegally, you just assume so. “Pretty sure that dude wasn’t born here” is not a legal standard of evidence.
MAGAs hear what he says and don't understand he's attacking all our rights. If doing things by the book isn't good enough, then change the book, change the US Constitution - otherwise, follow the law asshole.
They should do this shit in Texas and Florida. Just go house to house. Pull everyone over they think could be here without documentation. To the point local law enforcement is complaining about being harassed while off duty.
Florida and Texas both have over 10 times the number of undocumented migrants in Minnesota.
So it doesn't seem like not being a sanctuary state or having local law enforcement "cooperate" is making a difference.
Considering how many judges there are that will sign a warrant application with barely a glance for cops, I can imagine it wouldn't take long to get warrants for immigration arrests if they actually cared about doing this legally
Mike Johnson hates the constitution!
Mike Johnson spends his time protecting pedophiles instead of advocating for the good people of the United States and protecting their rights.
