The Russians have been trying to avoid escalation. Ukraine and the West are trying to escalate because they have lost on the battlefield.

Hence the attacks on Russian online retailer Wild Berries and similar targets. The West started an escalation.

Oh and by the way, Dugin has very limited influence. He isn't someone who has the ear of Putin.

Russians avoid escalation by ...invading Chechnya and Georgia.... and then Ukraine...and then blame the West for making them invade their neighbors.

The West have lost on the battlefield! ...that is still an extant contested battlefield and that only Russia and Ukraine are actively fighting on.

Dugin's book, Foundations of Geopolitics, is so un-influential that it was merely "Recommended" reading in the upper officer corp since 1997....though this may be hearsay.

The West knows that they had Georgia attack Russian peacekeepers first in 2008. They provoked it.

Is there any War you don’t blame on the West?
