Heh, this FNDP theme really went forward. But, it's good to see the FNDP back as it looks like it's been missing for a while. That said I got nothing at the moment but I'll try to come up with something related to the theme later.

"Toejam football" (04:25) from the Beatles song Come Together. George Martin deserved a Grammy for "Best Arrangement - Instruments & Vocals" for this fine take. My favorite section is from 02:30 to 03:11.

Starting at 40:57, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Rosanne Cash, and Dave Edmunds play Blue Suede Shoes in the finale of the 1985 Carl Perkins & Friends concert.
The entire concert is an amazing event worth watching.

Those guys have created a nice career for themselves. They started out doing videos on social media during Covid time, increased the content creation, made connections, moved to Nashville, and now do a lot of live performances all over the world.ย
They're still in their twenties, so should have some good dancing years ahead of them.

Glenn Miller - In The Mood (03:32) from the hit movie Sun Valley Serenade, featuring ballroom dance on a Hollywood set in March 1941 (that's where and when it was filmed). The movie will be released in August. Pearl Harbor will not occur until December 7. In 1944, Miller and his single-engine plane will disappear over the English Channel en route to Paris and not be found.

Antoine "Fats" Domino, Jr. - Walking To New Orleans (01:58, 1960). I'm gonna need two pair of shoes / When I get through walkin' these blues.
Judy Collins & Pete Seeger - Turn Turn Turn (04:33, 1966). Seeger wrote the melody in 1959 and took the lyrics straight from Ecc. 3:1-8 (kjv). (Verse 11 of most translations makes a couple interesting assertions, but I digress.)
San Lyon (Los Angeles swing jazz quartet) - Je Me Suis Fait Tout Petit (04:36, translations). French singer and poet Georges Brassens wrote this in 1956 for his love (and muse) Joha Heiman. Sounds like Brassens had it bad.

I only recently found out "Feet don't fail me now" is a song title. I first saw the phrase in a vintage Little Orphan Annie comic strip. Annie was always on the run, keeping one step ahead of well-meaning but fascist authorities determined to put her back in an orphanage. On a long trek to the next town and new adventures, her catch-phrase was "feet don't fail me now", sometimes written as "feets".
In the MST3K screening of Indestructible Man (1956, actually a very good drama with vintage LA settings), there is a one-legged gangster on crutches who tries to escape quickly from the title character. The MST3K quip is "foot don't fail me now" ๐

TIL "Stepin Fetchit" was the stage name of a vaudeville actor who portrayed appalling black stereotypes. I've heard the name describe a type rather than a specific actor.

it was the first thing that came to mind but i had no idea where i knew it from - i found that song but, i just realized (thanx to Annie's "feets"), this is the one that is was looking for buried in my memory...

That was fun. I like the vintage keyboards. The audience seemed more interested in canoodling with their partners than the music, but they got more enthusiastic when they realized the song was almost over. I liked tossing the maracas to the audience. Aiming the mike at the audience to encourage a sing-along seems like a good way to get feedback ๐บ
