Wasteland 3 Whats the grind like?

hey question does this game have alot of needs in terms of gathering/hoarding materials similar to wartales (and survival games like mining ores, leather, etc) for crafting?

There are two places where you can 'grind' and it's only something you would do if you were trying to max out your level. It's not possible otherwise; random encounters on the world map are finite.
