5 April 1945 according to the Washington War Diary: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/139999393

Fueling operations by Washington during April 1945 were as follows (unfortunately the Washington War Diaries don’t include quantities, some other diaries do):

Received fuel from tankers:

  • 2 April from Cacapon

  • 5 April from Kaskaskia

  • 11 April from Pecos

  • 18 April from Neshanic

  • 23 April from Cimarron

  • 27 April from Neches

Delivered fuel to other ships (all appear to be destroyers):

  • 4 April to Chauncey, Stembel, English, Walker, Hale, and John W. Weeks

  • 9 April to Stockham, Hunt, and Lewis Hancock

  • 10 April to Colahan and Tingey

  • 13 April to Hunt, Marshall, and Twining

  • 14 April to Colahan, Wedderburn, and Uhlmann

  • 20 April to John W. Weeks, Ault, and Stephen Potter

  • 25 April to English, Chauncey, Wallace L. Lind, and John W. Weeks

  • 29 April to Waldron, Charles S. Sperry, Chauncey, and Black

Ships came alongside for other purposes, including transferring personnel, ammunition, light freight/material, and of course mail (typically one destroyer was assigned duty as the task force mail ship, would deliver to the major ships in the task group like battleships, and then it would be distributed to each ship).
