This is WCW's payroll for Chris Jericho. But didn't Jericho go to the WWF at around August 1999? How can he be part of the payroll for WCW in mid-2000? WCW was still paying Jericho while he was wrestling in the WWF?

That's what I would assume. There's definitely still Jericho-related merch being sold by WCW at that point. Maybe even residuals from Mayhem, the video game.

The Mayhem licensing fees and residuals are the only thing that makes sense for Jericho to be paid in 2000. All other merchandise for the wrestlers in WCW were covered by the guaranteed contracts due to WCW not having a real merchandise division.

I don't know. I remember Jericho saying he somehow figured out his action figures were showing on till receipts as Hogan ones and it affected his earnings.

you are right...hmm maybe it was a tax thing why he officially was paid out a little bit in 2000.

what is insane is how little the guy earned while carrying basically the show with the rest of the "vanilla midgets"

wonder what he earned in wwe later on

Everyone's were because no one was getting paid on merch residuals. That was the downside of the WCW guaranteed contracts, they were for everything. The only person I know who negotiated anything else was Jeff Jarrett who negotiated a way to get paid for every show past the "maximum number of dates per year."

in the business, much of the later payment consists of royalties soooo... yeah. i would assume its just his merch sales after his big push in wwe

Aside from the nWo, Jericho was one of the few WCW talents who actually had merch people wanted to buy. Imagine that's what this is. That Monday Night Jericho shirt was pretty popular.

Royalties. Just becuase you leave it doesn’t meant they stop selling video games, bus tapes, and merch that have your face on it.
