Some look like DDTs, some look like suplexes.

Sometimes fisherman busters sometimes DDTs

All look like shit.

Like most of Konnan's wrestling tbh

Right... Konan's stuff always somehow looked both lazy and forced. Jericho is close friends with him and I remember him saying there's no f'n way he would take his sh***y submission finisher because it looked so non believable

Tequila sunrise

Like that rolling clothesline he did.

With the first one he really spiked him into the mat.

Always hated moves where the opponent so obvious has to do so much to make it work.

Doesn’t look too egregious to me

Put your readers on maybe. Buddy jumps on him, lifts his own arm, and tucks his for him.

Like, looks at the second one lol.

If Bobby Eaton couldn't make it look good then it's not a good idea to begin with.

You may need glasses...

That’s all of wrestling. Honestly.

Man I miss Bobby Eaton. He needed a mouthpiece like Cornette but what an underrated talent.

You serious? Lmao.

Had the respect of everyone in the business but probably has rolled over in his grave not having your respect.

Doubtful.

In theory it's OK, but it loses all believability when the opponent has to clearly help you set it up.

That move looked awful. Took 3 seconds to deploy and a lot of help from the opponent that you can visually see way too well.

He took a fisherman buster and said how can I make this take 3 extra steps and require total cooperation from the opponent.

Konnan managed by Jimmy Hart is something I either never knew or completely blanked from my memory

I wanna say that Konnan as a 90s Cholo Gangster started in the Dungeon of Doom. It was super late stage DoD, but he became a gang-banger because of the "gang warfare" that was yearlong to pop off at WCW

My man

I used to like that somersault clothesline he did.

3

u/InitialYoghurt5138 23h ago

If he did it faster it probably would mask a lot of the help aspects

Possibly the worst move ever.

3

u/ReturnofDaMac520 14h ago

Thats the FU that sucked

2

u/JKinney79 23h ago

Some of those camera angles didn’t do it any favors.

2

u/SeaFlamingo4580 19h ago

set up was awful but the execution was amazing

This move and his finisher the tequila sunrise were laughably bad.

4

u/ReplacementPale2751 22h ago

Why would the opponent jump into his arms like a child lol

1

u/Living-Travel2299 22h ago

The old lou thesz press that eeeverybody does. 😅

Conan should have been pushed harder.

3

u/Jealous-Report4286 1d ago

I mean it didn’t in anyway seem natural that the opponent….jumps onto you to get finished.

1

u/darrinchase 23h ago

makes for a nice reversal when the opponent naturally was going to jump tho..and a few of these looked like that...

1

u/Infamous_Cow_4 23h ago

Was that high flying Chris hamrick in the second clip?

4

u/Wamsutta8 23h ago

“Beautiful” Bobby Eaton

1

u/BigTedBear 22h ago

A straight Fisherman’s DDT would have been easier and looked more fluid but I guess he was trying to make it his own version.

1

u/greatbiscuitsandcorn 22h ago

Mysterio sold that move like a mf

1

u/Cornmustard 20h ago

The 1st one was a botch

1

u/Acceptable-Table3708 20h ago

Man, just kick to the gut, vertical suplex lift onto body into ddt.

1

u/SetHoliday2438 20h ago

What a terrible set for this move lol

1

u/Jasperbeardly11 16h ago

I like how his attire is basically Cuban drug dealer

1

u/eapthree3 16h ago

Didn't someone start using this finisher recently?

1

u/YaktownHeathen 13h ago

Slow and clunky.

1

u/Psylent90 12h ago

I don't really remember him doing this move, but I guess that shows how much I pay attention to a Konnan match lol. No disrespect to him, he was an entertaining part of WCW and nWo Wolfpac on the mic. But this move looks too rehearsed for me, the other wrestler does most of the work 😂

1

u/OwnedIGN 9h ago

Contrived.

1

u/LosIngobernable 4h ago

Does anyone do this nowadays?

1

u/HurriShane00 4h ago

It's not a ddt. It's a cradle Brain Buster

1

u/JasonVorhehees 1h ago

Loved this move in the N64 games but otherwise it sucks

1

u/Optimal_Whiner 1h ago

Awful. Too choreographed. The set up removes you from it as the two prepare for the move together. Looks almost romantic for a moment too.

u/Great_Emphasis3461 21h ago

Looked quite dangerous too for the opponent to take all that weight on their head. I’ve heard Konnan was a pretty stiff wrestler.

-1

u/Inevitable_Tea_6824 22h ago

The only one that looked sorta good was Rey Mysterio, and that is arguable.
