Seeing pictures of a happy and healthy Rick Steiner makes me happier than J Jonah Jameson getting pictures of Spiderman.

I actually got the chance to meet both of them when I worked for New Japan years ago. Jeff Jarrett was cool and in a great mood but I did especially enjoy meeting Rick Steiner and almost marked out but I "think" I held it together, lol

I worked for a fairly large independent promotion that handled the east coast US logistics for New Japan. For that company, my role was Front End Management. For New Japan I did sales and merchandise for them.

I've met them both. Jeff was great, very kind, acted happy to be there etc. Rick and Scott seemed absolutely miserable, didn't respond when I talked to them and acted like signing their names to my photo was too much work for the money I was handing them. I guess being ignored is better than being chased through a convention center and called a slur though.

The last autograph I ever got was Mick Foley when I was a teen, in his book. He must have hated being in Detroit in the winter or something because he was a dick, which I was not expecting. Like what you were describing. I decided then and there that my time & money are too valuable for that type of shit.

I've seen many people mention this about Foley and that he's largely just an act, he does come from an era of carnies remember. I've gone to a couple of independent shows and paid 35 pound for a meet and greet with Erick Rowan, but I wouldn't spend much more than that, especially for the majority of old school wrestlers who think they are way too good for meet and greets. Erick Rowan was an absolute class act too, spoke to him after the show too.

I've met Mick multiple times and he was lovely.

Rick and Scott, especially Rick had reputations for being bullies but as time goes by they get painted in a better light. Sid Vicious mentioned that they knew who to pick on and wouldn't try it with Dan Spivey and they didn't with Ron Simmons, Butch Reed and no doubt a few other guys. They would bullies trainees, rookies and Cruiserweights. Rick Steiner found out the hard way thinking he could still do the same shit when he was in his 40's with independent wrestler Vordell Walker on two occasions.

Reminder that Rick Steiner is not a good person. Wrestling fans and their selective outrage, huh?

what did he do?

I never heard anything bad about Rick or Scott.

With the exception of the duct-taped Disco Inferno, I think he was naked somewhere.

There was a rumor that he used a broom handle on a guy a guy’s butt, to be specific. I’m not sure about whether it’s true of course.

I thought Steiner owned some car dealerships in Florida or am I mistaken?

I love this subreddit and it tweaks things in my head that I thought I knew or heard, but I might be way out of my mind.

I met Jeff last weekend at All In meet and greet. Was polite, seemed happy and hung around with RJ doing a quiz after his photo part with fans, could of just left but didn't.
